I'm also really loving double Nelson daydream. It might be one of my favorite daydreams in recent memory .

The soap in the bathroom smells like Demiurge. Great stuff!

Anyone try Prescient dreams yet? Wondering how it compares to Frame of Mind.

Still always going to prefer the double versions, but for me this triple citra is the most drinkable out the gate yet, out of all the triple [xxx] daydreams

That, and it’s got a simpsons quote on the bottom. That’s always a sign of a good batch. Tramampoline!!

    look: 4 | smell: 4.5 | taste: 4.5 | feel: 4.75 | overall: 4.5

canned 9.5.18, opened 9.15.18, poured into a teku glass

" Ha ha , I touched your heart"

Hazy golden amber liquid, pencil thin off white foam cap quick settles to a ring

Fragrant aroma on the our of fruit, white grapes

Taste is tropical fruit, green grapes, lychee

Decided it was finally time to stop lurking. I have be enjoying Other Half since I arrived in Brooklyn in 2015. Loved the old tap room, ect... I purposely picked my apartment to be close, relatively, to Other Half, but also two of the best beer bars in Brooklyn, Gold Star and Covenhoven (both blocks away). I am also using Other Half obsession/hobby to help me ease into the brand new joys of fatherhood.

With all that said, Hop Showers, particularly the latest batch, is overrated. It's good, but I greatly enjoyed the Double Nelson Daydream more. I guess I am not a fan of motueka hops. I liked the prior batch of Hop Showers more, but still don't get the hype. For old school OH IPAs, I like Make It Rain, Suparillo, and All Green Everything.

Come at me... ha! Love the Other Half thread and all the good beer that is just a protected bike lane (thank god!) ride away.

The motueka isn't bad, but it's a tad bitter and will taste much better in a week and a half or so. The El Dorado batch was MUCH better.

Attaboy! I got respect for this kid. He's got a lot of fucking balls

Congrats on the baby! How old. I have a 2 year old and a 3 week old.

Gold star and Covenhoven are my fave / go to places as well.

And yeah while I do really like hop showers, personally I just enjoy perpetuating the myth. I didn’t even actually buy this batch

I love me some Motueka. It’s like a less harsh version of Nelson.

Dream Layers is really tasty, great hop layering with Mosaic and Mandarina.

It’s crazy, there are 8 cans available and I’m struggling to decide if I like another beer enough to want more than just one 4pk. In the past I would’ve freaked out.

Struggling to decide between one or two four packs of Hop Showers?

Haha no, I’m actually not a huge fan of this batch, the motueka seems to contribute this pithy citrus character which I’m not a huge fan of.
