Utopias in the PNW?

If it's ever been available in Oregon it was at least 8 years ago.

 

Beer junction in west Seattle just got it in:

Wow, really? Is that because of the new liquor laws or something? Or are they just ignoring the (stupid) abv cap?

 

Gravity Beer Market had a couple bottles last week too

 

The better question is, how much they selling it for? haha

 

189$... you guys enjoy...

 

For $250 bucks a bottle.

 

Damn. I didn't even ask the price because I won't pay that much for a beer.

 

For anyone wondering, beer junction is out of stock but is getting more Friday. I paid for my bottle today and Morgan said he'll call me when it gets there.

 

For the prices I've seen here Morgan should deliver it to you personally.

 

Retail is around $150-$160 so I'm not too surprised to see $189. I've certainly heard of much worse rectal price insertion from retailers in the past.

 

I know, it wasn't a slam on Morgan or Beer Junction... or you. More a comment about the MSRP for this beer.
If I walked away from an $85 bottle of Deviation, I know there's no way I'd pay more than double that for a Utopias. Just me.

 

Yeah, it is a lot to pay for anything really but I don't plan on taking my money with me. Hell, I was fully ready to walk out with a Deviation at BW if there were any left months ago.

 

And you're going to offer it up at your bottle share, right?

 

That's what I'm saying... to each there own, you guys can have my share lol.

Actually, I think the suggested retail price was $190. Morgan priced this one well, IMO.

 

"The exclusive, limited distribution brew will be available at select specialty beer and liquor stores starting in late October for a suggested retail price of $160 per bottle."
