Other Half September, a (mostly) post line world!

Yeah, I tend to stay away from OH bottles for the most part as they tend to be overly sweet and more $/oz than I'd like to spend. I did, however, enjoy some of the Orbit variants quite a bite (the BA coconut coffee version in particular I thought was quite good).

 

Snowbirds 2 is one of the best beers I've had this year, and one of the best OH beers I've had period.

 

They just posted on untappd that they have bottles of flowerzzz for in house consumption, maybe that was them? Either that or we are creeping close to BA Snowbirds???

 

They put a bunch of cellar bottles on sale last week but I don't think I saw Flowerzzz on yesterday.

 

It just popped up on untappd like 2 hours ago.

There is also a keg top I saw for a stout called Double Sunset, no idea what it is or when it is supposed to be out, but those could be the bottles too maybe.

 

1 for 20 ain’t bad, you right. Haha.

 

I'd like to take a moment and revel in how good the dual hop series has been. I'm just cracking a growler of jarrylo+mosaic and it's just so freaking good...but then again, most of them consistently have been. No ddh'ing, just two hops done right. every. time.

 

That makes more sense, since they for sure didn’t have a huge pallet of that old bottle stashed away.

 

Most of the bottles up on that list are older bottles as well so Id imagine it’s not a new batch of Flowerz

 

Agreed, dual hop series has been consistently incredible.

 

Agreed on the dual hops. I passed on jarrylo+mosaic in favor of other cans last time I was at OH due to kind of low untappd rating compared to other OH beers. If it's still there later this week I might go pick some up. I'm really looking forward to Simcoe+Vic Secret this weekend.

 

Nothing new on the keg email. Perhaps just a midweek Forever Simcoe?

 

We should get the city to pass a law that classics like ACE and DMD can only be released during the week. It's only fair.

While that is very sad news, it sounds like theyre making moves to expand, so its not all bad.

 

For anyone that follows The Veil, it looks like their OH collab got C&D'd pretty hard. They pulled all the merch and changed the label.

 

I was incredibly confused when they announced that. Why even take the risk? Can't imagine how much they'll lose out on with the labels and glassware that can't be sold anymore.
