Halle Berry's pet Octopus: NBS BIF 8

I think the expectation of a hint every couple of days is a pretty low barrier for entry, especially given the quality of the beers that are exchanged. I'm not easily impressed, and I've been blown away at the quality of the beers I've received in the BIF's I've participated in. The least I can do is participate - especially when the participation is so fun. I can't tell you how much I enjoy posting the dog pic I post with the closeup to let someone know I've got my eye on them based on the clues they're leaving. That's really fun.

But I am easily entertained.

Seriously, the beers I receive are treasured, but participation in the "Hints & Hauls" thread is what keeps me coming back - and I've participated through 3 moves in the last 2 years. It would be easier to not participate, but the fun of this is immeasurable ..... I can't tell you how much I appreciate hanging out with you all in this thread.

 

I have come to accept that we will never be senders to each other.

That makes me sad. Especially since New Jersey is one of 3 states I've never enjoyed a beer from.

 

Did I mention I grew up in NJ? Bonus?

Given his location, and my Alma Mater, this seems pretty obvious. Too obvious. So I am going to sit back and watch awhile.

 

I really don't pay attention, but I do know the Vikings made it all the way to the game before the big game that will go nameless, so I, and Minnesota, is out.

I'm not in Jersey often, but I'm hoping someone can change this. Theres some pretty dope stuff coming out of Jersey (Referend and Kane being my personal Faves) that deserve to be spread around a bit more

I actually scored a day off from work, first one since July. I will be headed to the twin cities tomorrow, and won't be on much. I might be able to get over to Wisconsin, and if I do, and find something interesting, it might be going in the box I plan on shipping next week.

Can't wait to see the thread when I get home tomorrow night.

 

I don't always participate in every nbs but i make damn sure i take the time to log every single beer i get from my sender on there. They took the time to select each new beer for me. I would participate in every nbs, but i work and almost every weekend. Plus i volunteer most of my free time in fire and ems. But i do try to stop by nbs monthly. I look forward to it and to all these nbs BIFs itsa great sense of enjoyment for me to read what everyone has to say. I enjoy figuring out my sender. I would be disappointed if my sender didn't participate in the hints and hauls. All that is being asked equates to less than 5 minutes a day of participation.

Hint #4: All of the colors found on my target's state's flag are also found on my state's flag.
Hint #5: The population of New Jersey is about 1.35 times that of my target's state but the largest city in my target's state has more than 3 times as many residents as the largest city in New Jersey.
