I ended up grabbing the Double Cream Get the Honey the other day and woah the can is so much better. It was very green/astringent on draft so I was hesitant to pick it up but I'm glad I did.

What’s this batch of forever Simcoe like? Does it have the pithy/resiny/piney finish?

Man, I'm the exact same way. I've found some batches of the bolero snort OVB to be pretty good.

I really liked OVB the few times I had it. Just don't tell the folks over on the BS thread.

I want to keep up the bad boy persona I accidently cultivated over there by mocking the naming convention.

It’s tasting great - best out the bunch of cans! Cream get the honey doesn’t get the respect it deserves considering how sought after cutting tiles is. It’s been a while since I’ve had a CT but I’d say CGTH is very close- this batch is exceptionally good.

I've mocked it before on NJ Facebook sites and boy is that a mistake...

Looks like they're canning some Magic Green Nuggets.

Grainy-Earthy bitterness with elusive sweet caramel malt, and prickly notes of pear, pine, peach, mango...Found 495nm to be fairly clean and well-rounded with bright biscuity characteristics.

Does become more soft and creamy as it opens given way to more juicy, mango/stone fruit, but doesn't lose sight of a clean, dry white wine/grape finish.

= Nice 6% from these fellas with flavor and balance

I haven't had Bolero in over a year, but I remember all of their beers being pretty astringent. OVB especially. I'm assuming they fixed that in more recent batches?

I haven't been to the OH taproom yet and just want to make sure I don't look dumb walking in (better here than irl). I'll be coming by next Saturday around 3:30PM, will only have about an hour to spare. Looks like plenty of cans are hanging around, not seeking a particular brand, and actually know the area pretty well - just don't know OH etiquette. So couple quick questions I haven't seen posted:

Are there separate draft/can lines at that point in the day? Can you just order cans from the bar if there isn't a line or is there basically always some kind of line? Is there space to set beer down and have a pour or is it basically standing room only? I'm really just trying to get a feel for the vibe there. Thanks in advance.

On Saturdays, they usually sell cans from the warehouse/garage a couple doors down from the taproom. The taproom is mostly standing on Saturdays afternoon because it gets busy, but there are probably 20 stools here and there. The line for pours can get a little long, but you shouldn't really have trouble with it being overly packed

It does get crowded but even when it's super busy the design is awesome and has almost every linear inch wall/counter covered with a place to set a beer down. That fact does not get enough praise but I've literally NEVER had to hold my damn beer there.

I’m so on the fence about the Mmm fruit with cherries ane vanilla. Some sips are absolutely stellar while others have this cough syrup like quality. I really do enjoy what the vanilla adds to this beer though.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but they sell the leftover cans in the taproom and the garage only has cans that are slated to be released that day. There is a separate Merch/Growler fills cashier but you can order cans to go from the "drafts" part of the bar.

These days surplus cans from earlier releases are being sold out of the garage with that Saturday’s new releases

What are chances of brocolli / ACE selling out before the weekend?

I honestly doubt that ACE will make it past the weekend, it might even sell out on Saturday night. Broccoli has a better show of making it to Monday.
