According to Instagram Dunegrass DIPA and Antagonist ESB are back!

 

Really? I just checked Barrier's IG feed and their most recent post was about the Evil Giant and It's a Sweater releases. App tells me I'm up to date.

 

Check the comments. (I assume all credit because I've badgered them about it so much!)

 

Ah, I see it. Complaining does pay off sometimes.
They still need to get them in cans though.

 

Evil Giant is fantastic. The best Barrier IPA I’ve had in months. The dank/rye combination is perfect and at 6.3% so easy to drink.

 

Can't wait to pick up a ton of cans, one of my favorite IPAs. Hopefully Dunegrass (my all time favorite DIPA) gets canned.

 

Your lips to God’s ears. I’d buy multiple 4-packs of Dunegrass. Kinda strange they haven’t canned it or bottled it once.

 

I bet it's coming, finally after years on hiatus it's back on draft, we have to show support - write a letter! bother them on Instagram! we can do it!

I LOVE rye IPAs. These brewery-only releases are killing me. Oh well, at least I got my hands on some Icculus and Simple. Had a bottle of the former last weekend and thought it was really good. Gonna crack a can of the latter tonight.

 

Not that this helps you much but I got Evil Giant at Hicksville Beer&Soda so maybe they’ll get it in Brightwaters.

 

I have tomorrow off so I'll have to see if I can squeeze in a trip over there.

 

Evil Giant is for sure not brewery-only as we just got it upstate. In fact, all of their recent releases (five or six of them) made it up here.

 

How about on top of canning Dunegrass we can make Saazquatch again and can it? Asking too much?

 

Definitely asking too much, let’s not be greedy now.

I’d love to see Bittersweet make a comeback but it never will.

 

What has Evil Giant been selling for out on the island vs in NYC? The Food Emporium really close to my office has it for $19.99.

 

I would imagine $16.99. Most barrier IPAs sell for that IIRC.

 

Yeah, I did some online digging and that's the most common price. I'll try to find some at a local shop this weekend, I'd rather not pay the $3 premium at FE if I don't have to.

 

They made it a few years ago again (SaazSquatch) and it was horrible. Nothing like it used to be. Way too sweet. Would love to see the original again.

 

I had it the first time it was out and didn't mind it for a squash ale but we definitely need some Mars Zen ASAP!
