That may explain the Prop 16 variation if they were running everything through a tank vs adding directly to the barrel before bottling from the barrel.

So by your logic we should also rate the infected batches of years past with the normal ones....Everything is the same with some slight variations....

We already have been...I simply made a note in my review.

Granted, it makes for an absurdly long review (and one of my longest for a single beer), but if you care to differentiate there's plenty of room to do so. I think the infections of 2015 were quite renowned and there are plenty of reviews pointing them out.

You don't rate beers anyway, what do you care?

My mistake. I thought I read otherwise. I thought it was like 1 store on the west half that got variants, and someone said that was a mistake.

    Thanks for the correction.

Yes, Someone did say that in another thread but it was incorrect. Multiple stores received 1 or 2 cases of each variant in Grand Rapids. Many of them were “2 reg and 1 variant” though.

Since nobody else answered in the past 2 pages, I'll take the baton. The block party is pretty awesome. $3 sour sister pours? I'll drink those all night long. Last year there were a bunch of tap stations pouring the core lineup and the big seasonals (e.g. the Keller Marzen). The more limited barrel-aged stuff was on rotation inside the taproom, but it was a crap shoot. Basically, get in line, wait 15-20 min, see what's available, grab a beer, get back in line. I wound up getting BCBS Rare (Yum!) and the Cooper Project Blonde Dopplebock (ehhh...not so good). The people I was around were generous about sharing, so I got to try 2015 prop and something else. Plus, I shook Corin Tucker's hand and high-fived Kurt Bloch. I would love to go tomorrow since TV on the Radio is one of my favorite bands, but I'm stuck on kid duty.

For Sour Sisters, and the Core Line up you will pretty much never have to wait. For BCS they only pour them inside the tap room.

Basically you line up and they will have 4(I think it was 4 last year) different variants on with a max of 2pp. I think the pours of BCS end up costing like 4 bucks. The line takes maybe 10min to get through. They will never run out but you never know what your going to get.

At one point at the end of the night, they cut off the line without warning and said they were done pouring. People got maaaaaad.

You sometimes need a decipher key to read @HouseofWortship responses. Your key is usually to remember that he's a smartass.

I was there too! An old guy who was the first person to be cut off was yelling like crazy. I offered him one of my cups, and he declined, and yelled at me. I decided I didn’t like him.

There was one last year that was out in a few minutes. The rarer ones tend to go in about 15-20 minutes from what I remember.

They have a TV in the taproom that you can see from the street and they update the rarer beers as they kick. They have the cups pre-poured and you toss your token in the little bin. I thought it was a great way to do it. Thankfully this year it won't be a thousand degrees.
