I was actually trying to string another certain Indiana participant along, too, but ain't so sure how well that went after all. Hah! I may as well explain some of those clues, most of which were Indiana-centric:

Just a fun and perhaps too obtuse pronunciation of Hoops! As in Basketball, Hoosiers, and all that...

Hint #6- put a wiggle in your stride.
First line of the Talking Heads song "Mr. Jones"- could be either Basketball Jones or Indiana Jones

If you're up on your A Christmas Story lore, you'll remember that when Ralphie finally decodes Little Orphan Annie's message it says "Drink more Ovaltine".

Hint #4 - My target is neither due east nor due west of me.

Georgia, definitely not.

Hint #5 - my target will be getting several beers from my haul today. There is also a clue as to the identity of my target in one of the pics...if you look real close...

Hint #6 - One of the beers I’ll be drinking today on NBS is strongly connected to one of my target’s wants.

The Threes’ beer I drank was the hint, as @JBowenGeorgia had a Threes beer on his wishlist.

Hint #7 - if my target was in the mood to gaze lovingly into the eyes of a live octopus, it wouldn’t be a super-long trip.

Hint #8. Word search time! Once you finish, the first letter of my target’s first and/or last name will be among the unused letters.



There’s a J for John left over.

Hint #9. If you count the number of factors of 88, and then subtract the number of prime factors of 88, and finally add the square root of the number of limbs possessed by an unlucky octopus afflicted with polymelia, you’ll be left with a result that is strictly greater than the number of letters in my target’s state.



You get an answer of 9. Georgia has 7 letters.

Hint #10. I make a cameo appearance in several of @larryi86 and @TheBeer ‘s WBAYDN posts from yesterday. The shirt I was wearing features an animal that I’m 99.6% sure does not venture into your state. Zombie versions notwithstanding.

No moose in Georgia to my knowledge.

Hint #11. My target might “mewant” some East Coast ipas, or was it West Coast? If this rings a bell, you are my target.

After looking at it cross eyed for 10 minutes I figured that or assumed I was just never going to get it.

 

And then there’s those of us that spend our lunch break looking up the zipcode of every BIF participant to plug into the Pythagorean Theorem...

 

I have to admit I have asked my son to help me with some of the math hints!!!

 

As long as I’m around, there will be math hints galore. Not apologizing

I LOVE the word search did it all by myself!!! The math hints I work through my son goes to college this fall so I may have to forward them on to him!!! Kudos to you I wish I could come up with the stuff some people on here do. I spend tons of time to make my hints a little harder.
