Halle Berry's pet Octopus: NBS BIF 8

I have spersichilli, dwood1466, larryi86 and nc41. Of everyone the first two are still on my list because they each provided one hint. And nc41 because Michigan has a larger military base but i don't think it's very well known even. But until more hints are provided.
I get life happens but it kills me when you search someone's name and they are online or were a couple hours ago and couldn't be bothered to stop by. Especially with people tagging your name.

 

I don’t repeat my hints, but if you go way back to when I got my target I mentioned something...

 

What's everyone's opinion here on bells expedition stout

 

Hint #1 - There are at least 2 states, maybe more, that share a common/linear northern or southern border. My target is north of this particular line.

Hint #2 - While I was in Oahu, my wife and I jumped on a plane for Maui and spent the day driving “The Road to Hana”. My target is further from me than the total milage flown and driven (one way) Even if you count going back and forth to the airport from our condo in Waianae.

Hint #3 - My targets rated beers combined with wants can be derived with a correct combination from the following numbers.

Hint #4 - One of these areas is northern Ohio / Indiana. It is not that border.

Hint #5 - The Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia northern border is in play.

Hint #6 - My target has had a beer from Ohio. More than one. Several actually.

Hint #7 - Some of those beers may or may not have come from me, but they would not have been in any “official” capacity.

Hint #8 - Take the 7 and 0 away from your options in hint #3 (I narrowed it down again)

Hint #9 - If you did some research, you should have come up with approximately 220 miles for hint #2. Hint 9.5 - My target is not only further, he/she is at least 3 times that (Columbus is close enough to use for milage) and the distance is also a greater number than the answer to #3

Hint #10 - Hate to ruin this for him, but my target is not @beertunes

Hint #11 - This hint is pretty obscure so good luck, but my target is not @2beerdogs or @akatz821

Hint #12 - If you were to take the square root of the total of participants, multiply it by 1,223.5, divide it by the square footage of Founders Brewing Taproom, and subtract the number of entries in NEIPA Style, I have no idea what the answer would be, but it’s not New Jersey.

Hint #13 - My target rated an old school, pillar of an IPA from the midwest that would be found on the Beers Of Fame list higher than me.

Hint #15ish? - Looks like there is a river bank close to my target. Or maybe it’s River Bank? Or Riverbank? Could be any.

 

Be careful I have tons of beer my wife wants me to get rid of!!

 

I love it, I usually buy a six pack or so every year. I got at least 3 years back probably need to open some. Probably for the money/availability one of my favorite stouts.

 

I think I've had it, but I'm not sure. If so, it was before I joined here.

Ditto, love it, and so reasonably priced here, in the land of expensive everything. Never tried the BA version but I assume it’s magic.

 

Hope you enjoy! I guess the side benefit of me forgetting to put the bottle in the previous box was that it had to have some travel companions.

 

I did just find an extra bottle laying around...

 

I posted a list without tagging you, but I’m pretty sure your hint #7 conclusively eliminates me.

 

To be honest i was waiting to see what you got from a Target and i see a certain boss ipa on your want list and seeing you like aged expo stout. Has got me thinking

 

And i do feel that barrel aged expedition is better than black note

Agreed - BA Expo is delicious. I happened to be at the brewery when it last dropped and got 3 four packs. They're long gone now, but it was the best beer I've ever had from Bell's, and quite possibly the best I've had from the state as well.

 

Haul hint for @JBowenGeorgia . Although you’re only getting 3 beers off your wants list, you’ll be getting about 15 that are very closely related to things on your wants.
