Fantastic NEDIPA. Aromas and flavors of big lemon, lime, grapefruit, orange juice, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel/zest, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate wheat, biscuit dough, light honeyed malt sweetness; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Very mild pine, zesty, herbal, grassy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; very creamy/silky/bready wheat/oat mouthfeel. Light sticky hops and slightly increasing lingering bitter dryness. Insanely drinkable, perfectly soft mouthfeel, zero warming 8%. Cashmere, Bru-1, and Mosaic. Super juicy and slightly dank hops; perfect wheat/oat/malt balance, not overly sweet/heavy for the ABV. They pretty much always nail these Hop Series NEIPAs.

Insane stuff as usual this year. Aromas and flavors of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, toffee, fudge brownie, vanilla, cinnamon, chili pepper, smoke, toasted dark bread, and light dark fruit/char; with some herbal spice earthiness. Bittersweet roast/spice balanced finish. Medium carbonation and very full body; with a fantastic creamy, silky, velvety mouthfeel; with light sticky spice, chalky roast, and slickness. Slightly increasing lingering spice dryness, no cloying sweetness. Minimal warming 13%. Mild increasing lingering pepper spice heat, with great flavor presence. Very rich/decadent, with amazing balance of spices. This has a thicker/fuller body and better mouthfeel than regular Bomb!, which makes this just a bit better overall for me; but I always love both. Glad they keep bringing it back. I always buy a handful every year now.

Started the morning watching the Browns/Jets replay from Thursday night. Popping a can sent to me by @JBowenGeorgia who is notorious for dropping bombs on people. This is Tropicalia from Creature Comforts. A beer name I have heard plenty, but this will be my first venture into this brewery so I figured I would start with a flagship beer.

Pour is a nice light orange color that isn’t quite completely clear. A small tuft of sticky foam floats on top. Nose is fairly floral with bright citrus. Spotty lacing is sticking all over the glass as I sip. Taste is very fruity. Peach, lime, tangerine, pine. All are present here. The feel is very soft and the finish has a bit of bite on the back end. Really nice brew that I’m sure, if available, I could enjoy over and over again.

Awesome NEDIPA. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, green pepper, and pine hops; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bread dough malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; very creamy/bready/grainy malts, some sticky hops, and light resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing lingering bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Dangerously smooth, not aggressive, mildly increasing warmth of 8.75%. Citra, Mosaic, Simcoe, and Apollo hops. Awesome balanced mix of juicy, dank, and earthy hop complexity; nice wheat/oat/malt balance, not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness. Really big fan. Hope we see more from them soon. Already have reviewed a few.

Tasting insane as usual, new batch landed this week. Aromas and flavors of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, pecan, fudge, marshmallow, biscuit, toasted dark bread, caramel, toffee, molasses, vanilla, cream, and light smoke/charcoal. Light roast/char and herbal hop bitterness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and very full body; with a very smooth, creamy, silky, velvety, and rich mouthfeel that is amazing. Light slickness, chalky roast, and sticky hops. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering hop/char bitterness; never acrid/astringent. Super smooth, minimal warming 11%. Glad these are in cans now, this meets and even surpasses what I remember when I reviewed it in 2016. Pretty much identical to the one brewed in Europe at the time, but this one is a bit less bitter on the roast. Phenomenal. Already got 2 packs, completely worth the $20 price.

I am starting off with a delicious IIPA from @yankeepride. Thank you, sir! This beer is a collaboration with CashorTrade.org. That is a website that allows people to sell event tickets at face-value. I think I will actually utilize this website, as just this week I tried buying tickets for the upcoming 5-Finger Death Punch concert in town, and it was sold out. I am not used to concerts selling out, since I mostly go to extreme heavy metal concerts.

Yes, yes, it was just a joke - we have 3 decorative gourds now mutating on our kitchen counter. I just love McSweeney's so anytime I can send people over there, or make a blind reference, gotta do it. Cheers @russpowell !
