What was the setup -- all BCBS in taproom? How were lines throughout evening?

I arrived at 5. I had prop 14 a few times before lines actually started to form . I had Templeton rye, shamrock stout, rare 15, coffee 2016, prop 2017, blackberry rye and wellet 2014. My favorites of the night were shamrock and blackberry. All bcbs in taproom.

Definitely seemed to pay to go early. Showed up at 5:30 with no line to get in and a small line in the taproom. Got Prop 14 and Templeton Rye right off the bat. By 6:00, the line to the taproom was fairly long but moved steadily. Maybe 15 mins to get through. 2014 Weller was my favorite of the night. Great job by Goose to have the beers pre-poured which kept the line moving.

My children and dog are bastions of perfection. They never annoy anyone. Oh wait, there was that time at bed last night and now they're yelling something about breaking their fast? Who knows. I'm too busy on here.

Plus no fights or old people yelling at you.

Im assuming that the Fulton St. tap room will not be open at noon, per usual hours, due to Block Party?

Damn what an awesome event. Showed up right around open thinking it would pay to get there early and it certainly did. Left around 8 when things started to get chaotic but in the span of 3 hours I got to have pours of BCBS 13, Prop 14, Prop 17, Coffee 16, Double Brandy and blackberry Rye for 18 dollars total (disappointingly I just missed 15 rare). I also went with 3 friends who are not into beer and they still had a great time with the variety of other beers and music. Overall, I was sincerely impressed and will be looking forward to it next year.

Great time last night, TVOTR killed it. It it capacity around 7.30, which means today it’ll be around 6.30 or. I’d recommend getting there early. However my friends still got in after a short wait.

Line for bcs looks daunting, but it’s no more than 10 min.

Will definitely be going back today

1 in 1 out once it hit 6.

What a bummer. Showed up at 5.45 and like 300 people in front of me. Oh well.

Ended up ditching the line at 6.30. There was still around 200 people in front of me. Friends that arrived at 5.15 and got in said there was plenty of space and zero line for beers when I texted them at 6. Glad I cut my losses and moved on rather than waste my Saturday in a line

Saturday was weird. They actually closed the gates at around 7 for the night. Said it was a safety issue, as they didn’t want 100’s of people standing in line outside.

But by 8.30 inside, it was sparsely populated, to the point where I felt bad for drive by truckers.

The lines for beer were non existent Saturday, which zero wait for any bcs beers. The Saturday crowd wasn’t very craft focused either. Lots of virtue cider being consumed.

It was a great time though, and I look forward to it next year.

The 2 year barlywine was my favorite beer of the night, with double barrel brandy and prop 17 being close behind.

I'm glad I hit it early on Saturday. Was in town for the half marathon and really had no plans to get tanked the night before, but definitely couldn't pass this one up. Got right in at 5 and enjoyed multiple pours of 14 BCBS, 14 Prop, Double Barrel, and 15 Rare (basically had half bottle for $6). Split out of there around 6/6:30 and saw the huge line. So someone benefited from my early departure. Not sure I'd drive over from Detroit just for this, but definite bonus already being there. Wait....yeah I'd probably drive over from Detroit just for this.

The description was something along the lines of -

Fresh barleywine blended with some barrels that were lost in the warehouse, we’re not sure of the year, but we think it’s pribably 2011.
