    Founder's Solid Gold. Was in a local ABC for a bottle of dinner wine and came across a shopping cart of orphans at fidy cents a pop. Lots of these so I grabbed 6.

    Kane Galaxy Punch

    The guava has mellowed a lot over the past two weeks, and there is a more pronounced grapefruit pith bitterness to the beer, more so than when fresh.

    I really love this one.

    A morning run, breakfast and sports programs are behind me. A bottle of Upland Barrel Chested barleywine from December 2014 is up next. While quite drinkable, there is more sticky dark fruit than barrel in the taste now. A very good barrel aged beer at a friendly price.

    Another one from the 12 pack that I haven't had in awhile . . .

    Clear lighter shade of gold color with white cap.

    Aroma of sweet malt and spicy, floral hops.

    Taste is much better the the usual Mexican AAL with real beer aroma and enough malt/hops to actually taste. More Helles in style with something slightly vanilla in the aftertaste.

    Nice picture! I remember to have slept in the open air years ago at about the place where this picture is taken. Young student, late 80's.
    I don't sleep in the open air in cities anymore by the way :slight_smile:

    La Trappe Bockbier.

    Yesterday I posted a bokbier from ’T IJ. Indeed one of the best Dutch bockbeers. This one however is also rather good. And the only Trappist bockbiter as far as I know.
