It's cool, gray and rainy here in southern Indiana today. I believe I have something for just such a day...
I bought one bottle to review and another to age, but I think I'm going to grab a 4 pack this week. Very enjoyable to my tastes. Cheers all!

Busy morning and time for a break . . .



Clear light gold color with white cap and lacing.

Aroma of sweet malt and floral, spicy hops.

Taste is malt forward with lots of floral, spicy hops. The hopping level here is a good deal higher than the usual AALs that are called Pilsner. I don't know the grain bill or hopping level but it's at least as hoppy as most of the Euro lagers I come across and they are hops of the Noble type. Or that's how they taste anyway. I do get a slight sweetness from mid palate on with a firm but gentle hop presence spiking at the finish.

 

A beautiful Black Tuesday 2013 vintage. Huge prune flavor. Probably should have drank this a year ago. Ha!

Sunny and a “warm” 62 degrees, so most errands got chucked...Mrs. Z went shopping, and I find myself at the pub with a pint of Unity’s “Collision” IPA:

Earlier I visited Winchester Cathedral...the original Minster erected in the 600s, a second Minster erected beside it in the 800s (both long gone)...the current (in part) Cathedral completed in the 1120s to ultimately replace them...and added to and repaired over time. More fabulous gothic architecture:
