    I'll vote for pumpkin. Call the date. Should be fairly soon before they're all gone. I'm thinking sometime before February....

    Pumpkin beers seem to be the favorite, so we'll go with that. Planning to keep it just generic pumpkin - so anything people want to do they can.

    Next question - October 13th? 20th? any preferences there?

    I propose the 20th to be closer to Halloween and to give folks time to find their favorites. Still thinking that as polarizing as pumpkin beers are that we should have an alternate for those that would refuse to participate rather than having a pumpkin beer. How about Baltic Porter? Or any canned beer 16oz or larger- would possibly get to see some interesting bigazz cans. Bonus points for a pumpkin baltic porter, or a bigazz can of pumpkin beer.

    I'm going to do a pumpkin beer tasting thread - if people want to do something else thats fine, but I think we need to keep the thread on style to avoid it getting deleted or merged into WBAYDN.

    I'll set up the separate thread soon. 20th work for people?

    I can get a 32 oz crowler of Pumpkin beer at the local brew pub, Had a small glass of it last night did not enjoy it.

    Yeah, finding good pumpkin beers can be tough, particularly since some folks want the vegetal squash taste, and others want the pumpkin pie spice. I'd like to find one with both, but leaning more towards the spice. I'd like pumpkin-pie-in-a-bottle, though it would be tough to pull off and still have it be a beer. Some, like Avery with their Rumpkin, have tried making it a sugar bomb but that's almost undrinkably sweet. Good pumpkin beers evade me, though Avery Pump[KY]n is pretty good - and I've got one left for the 20th.

    I have never had one that I enjoyed enough to have 2ond glass The one I tried last night had no spices in it just fresh not canned pumpkin. The fans of the style at the pub were raving about it, .
