Rookie BIF Round 2 Hints and Hauls Thread

I just always make note of states I've had personally wish Untappd did would make my quest easier

 

man I always say I'm going to but coming to BA so late its like a mountain of work to re-rate all the beers I've had but that state feature would be nice

 

I hear you, man. It would take me days to cross-post everything! I try to occasionally post new stuff as I'm drinking it, particularly if the person who sent me something isn't on Untappd.

I try. Usually I fail.

 

I have one of those too. I gave up on it cause the Western States on mine have so many caps and the smaller states have one or none. A while ago I just started filling it up with random stuff. It will be kinda hard to go back and edit now

 

even at 3 a day it would take a year to transfer over and that's not including new beers

 

I keep a list to the side of which breweries/states I have on there. I move the smaller states to the larger states in order to make sure I catch all of them. My bigger problem is I got it a few years back, but after I had moved back from living out west and did a lot of traveling for work, so I missed out on a lot of chances to fill it in.

 

I thought if you were an untappd supporter you could export your data out? I wonder if you could see it by state then?

 

I think you're right, Mike! I'm not a supporter though - I probably should be, as much mileage as I've gotten out of the app.

 

I will check with a friend of mine who is and see what they say.

 

Just asked my buddy he tried it. It will break it down by brewery but not by state.

 

Useful, but not ideal. Makes me wish I'd just been tracking via Beer Advocate this whole time.

 

Me too but I would have to add more than half my beers to be updated here. Maybe I will someday.

 

I think you used to be able to do it no matter what, but then they disabled that functionality. I have no idea if being a supporter lets you do it.

 

One thing I'd definitely like knowing is how many of the BA styles I've had. But it would be difficult to figure out what style on Untappd translates to what style on BA. Just too much work.

 

any way you can export what u drank on untappd to BA?

You can export everything into a spreadsheet but you only have the filters that are already there.

 

and bombs away might have gotten carried away..

 

You just need to do what I do, and have a spreadsheet that lists every beer you ever drank, along with your untappd AND BA ratings, and filters by style and brewery. Although BA's latest update makes most of that unnecessary; I'm just in so deep I can't stop.
