Trying to make it down to DC. For anyone that has been before, do you have to wait for just one 2oz pour at a time or can you grab a few at a time?

How could this be bad, right? Sounds great and loved the base beer

    Rubus Cipres
We used the award-winning Train to Beersel as a base, then added juicy Oregon-grown marionberries and let it age in once used French Oak Cabernet Sauvignon barrels and once used American Oak Sauvignon Blanc barrels. The result? A fruity, imperial sour blonde.

I am pretty sure it will be foiled again. They said they were not going to wax it anymore. It is a black foil and it does look like wax. That's what they used last year.

Ha, I am just thinking about if there are crazy lines. It would be nice to grab a flight of 3-4 and then just sit down and worry about getting back in line after a while.

I have only done the OC version, but lines are never really an issue there. There are a bunch of tables, each with two or three of the variants, so I've only rarely had to wait behind more than one or two people for a pour. I imagine DC will be the same way, as much as possible.

It’s hard to tell from the photo. If that is a capsule then it’s different from previous years, it’s slightly angled down the neck like wax would be instead of the standard straight capsule they’ve used the last 3 releases.

I remember they released red wine BT 375's about a month after they released the 750 versions. Maybe its something like that, maybe not. No idea, but I really wish they did 375 BT also.

If DC is anything like LA,, you will get one glass, so flights are not an option. Last year lines were virtually non-existent, meaning a few people, with a few minutes wait max. Mostly because they had so many variants, no particular one dominated. I went to the early session.

2016 there were long lines but they moved fast.

Went with my wife last year and got her pours so she could stay seated. So yes, you can get multiple pours, just not flights.

The month isn't over yet. If I remember correctly, the BT red wine barrels 375ml, showed up later.

Bought my 750s today, but will buy 375s too, if they show up.

Got tickets for the California second session. Really looking forward to trying King Tuesday... also glad I got a hotel literally behind the brewery cause it looks like this will be quite a night.

So... is Barrel Aged Beer Day not a thing this year?

It happened last week. We received an email on 9/24 about it, but Sunday was the last day. Only a week long sale. But in the email it says "stock up for barrel aged beer day on October 5th", however, the sale was 9/24-9/30
