What’s the best pumpkin beers you have drank this year off the shelf or from a local brewery?

Also really dig a good coffee / pumpkin beer.

Non-snarky response: I think Southern Tier's Warlock is pretty good.

I generally think Southern Tier sucks AND pumpkin beers suck, but this was good enough that after trying a single, I bought another single next time I had the chance.

That said...I won't be buying another one until next year.

I found this watery & pretty boring.

There’s also a cold-press coffee pumking variant, which seems up OP’s alley.

Does New Belgium still make Pumpkick? That was my favorite.

    I believe that's a cold press "Pumking"...and Pumking sucks.

Warlock is the stout-ish version that I think is good.

I haven't had any of these yet, but this year I picked up Epic's Pumpkin Porter and their barrel aged Pumpkin Porter as well as Alaska's Pumpkin Porter. Heard good things about each. Im planning to get Crypt Keeper (pumpkin porter) from Scorched Earth which is the only local pumpkin beer I can think of.

I did a pumpkin beer tasting with my sister, her husband and my wife back on Labor Day weekend (which is ridiculous - but that’s when they’re fresh) and we liked Schlafly’s the best out of just pumpkin beers. Epics pumpkin porter was pretty good, I liked it better than the barrel aged one.

Whole Hog Pumpkin from Stevens Point is my favorite, but I haven’t seen it around Chicago Land.

You guys get Lakefront in Chicagoland, right?
If so, check out their brandy BA imperial pumpkin. It's 12-13%, so you'll quickly get over the shame of drinking a pumpkin beer.

We get SOME Lakefront. Last year, I saw Lakefront BA Imperial Pumpkin very briefly. By the time I tried it, then went back to the store to get more, there was no more on the shelf. Rather than trying to time my trip to my local Binny's just right, I've learned to just make a quick trip to the Kenosha Woodman's.

Only two pumpkin beers I'll drink are Whole Hog and Good Gourd. I haven't seen whole hog around this year, and so far CCB has not sent bombers to our market so don't think we'll be getting that. Not much help, but pumpkin beers aren't totally my thing.

It just came out, with a brand new label, a week or two ago. FWIW I'm fully on board with this beer as my pumpkin vote. Until Central Waters brings back Headless Heron anyway.

I enjoy pumpkin beers...sue me. Unfortunately I dont see many locals brewing them anymore (probably due to popularity...wait we haven’t made one in 4 years) but everything pumpking related (coffee or warlock sorta) and for sorta locals go schlafly or whole hog. Lakefront’s lager and regular are pretty good too. Keep hope alive, wait until 2019 when I do a pumpkin milkshake ipa (I threw up in my mouth typing that).
