Tired Hands (October 2018)

New shortest line ever. I got there at 4:58, right before can sales started, and I was 10th in line. I knew this would be a mild release...but wow. Bubble. Burst.

 

Have can releases jumped the shark? For sure the chair dropping has.

 

I can't figure out if it's the end or beginning is fantastic. Reminds me a lot of Punge. Worth picking up.

 

Anyone catch their IG drama yesterday? Saw the IG get turned off and on a few times, seemed to be some kind of comments flame war that got deleted...

 

I don't understand the people who get upset about their comments being deleted. It's a marketing page for a business, they need to be able to control the content. Many other channels to complain about the beer no one is forcing them to buy.

 

Nah just saw that they took down comments. Should we run down the list of common complaints haha. Just when we think things are turning a corner the trolls lure us back in.

Saw they sold about half last night, it is refreshing being able to just pick these up whenever, especially the straight up non adjunct ipas.

 

Reading IG comments is like listening to whining teenagers. People need to realize that their opinions aren't as important as they think they are. Social media gives people this platform and it is the worst. That's my stance on it at least.

So how are the new beers?

 

Wow. I just went down an internet rabbit hole. Sounds like a shitshow but nobody forced these morons to line up at 5am to **** beers in 90+ degree weather. Peoples priorities are so fucking backwards.

Edit: I realized I typed **** instead of slug but its works the same way so I’m not changing it.

 

What were they whining about this time?

 

Question to anyone who has been to the new Beer Garden:

Are you allowed to bring outside food in?

If so, are there any decent places nearby to grab food? Any good pizza places nearby there?

Yup. There's much better food in the area generally but as far as takeout options go I'd recommend it, especially if you're looking for pizza.

Wasn’t too impressed with the beer garden. 5 beers were kicked. $9 beers and disgusting stadium-level port-a-potties. And Technicolour Splendour is terrible.

 

I honestly thought they gave me the wrong beer when I got Technicolor. It tasted nothing like how I remembered it in cans.

 

That's because it's not Technicolor Splendor.

From the description on the Biergarten website and drink menu:

Technicolour Splendour:
Olde Englande Double IPA 8.0%. Not to be confused with the hyper-American Technicolor Splendor. Brewed with English Maris Otter malt, and a touch of spelt malt. Hopped in the kettle with East Kent Goldings, and dry hopped very aggressively with UK First Gold.

 

Yeah, just my opinion but I did not care for the English version at all. And I love the original “Technicolor”.
