Beer shop finds.

Lots at the Chestnut Hill Wegmans too. Also picked up a Clown Shoes The Exorcism of Rich Ackerman at CBC Newton.

 

Looking for both so I may find myself in Newton sooner than later. Probably check the Medford Wegman's too since that's closest to me

 

Went last night to see if there was any of the barleywine left and was surprised to find not only the 2017 but a few 12 oz. bottles of the 2014 for $14.99.

Also got my Better Half at Wegman's in Medford and went home a happy camper

 

I try to get all the Finback beers that make it to Mass. They make some great stuff. I grabbed a 4 pack of Origin this week. IMO this is a tad better than their usual outstanding offerings.

 

Just noticed that Lulu's and The Publick House have Dinner on draft. Good chance for people that haven't been able to make the trek up north for bottles to try it.

I know it's technically a 'beer shop find' but couldn't find an appropriate thread.

 

Did you go to either place, or does it say it online?

Chances are it's gone already...maybe...this is me trying to convince myself to not go to Lu Lu's or Publick House right now.

 

As of 15 minutes ago they said they still had it. Just got it today, but it's going quick.

Canary Square is tapping Dinner when they open for brunch today, per twitter.

 

One table alone ordered 15 drafts, which was about a quarter of a keg.

Sounds like it’s going around. I’ve checked a few other places too. I wonder if this be a regular thing.

 

The last few releases up there have lasted a while. Maybe we can expect to see limited distro of $9-$11 bottles of Dinner after the next release.

 

ha. Doubt that. Getting more on draft sure is welcome though. We've been over the MBC hate enough, and it's deserved, but Dinner lives up to the hype imo and I'll definitely splurge now and then if I see it on draft.

 

Agreed. I’m not one to say, “OH MY GOD you have to have this beer.”

But it really is that good. First time I had it we had been drinking a bunch of Tree House, a keg of Substance, Trillium...etc. and at the end of the night we had Dinner and even after all that it stood out.

A week or so later we drank it side side by with Lunch in a blind tasting and it was markedly better.

 

I only went up and got a case once and enjoyed 8 of the 12 bottles immensely. Would love to do a blind side-by-side with Second Fiddle which is my current favorite DIPA.

 

I picked up mixed 6 pack from CBC Fenway today.

It included New Holland Dragon’s Milk Reserve Banana Coconut , Finback XYZ Corp Baltic Porter, Jack’s Abby Private Rye, Crooked Stave Von Pilsner (packaged in July), Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest, and a Harpoon Dunkin Porter.

 

Dinner went on at PJ Ryan's on Thursday and was still running on Fri afternoon when I grabbed one. I believe Hugh O Neils was pouring Dinner yesterday also.

 

I didn’t need to read this. PJ Ryan’s is a half mile from me.

 

As of around noon Dinner was still on tap at PJ Ryan’s.
