I’ve had two beers from Hoof Hearted so far, both in NYC. Well, one of them was beer, Ticklin the Ivories. The other, This is What Happens When you let Dad Outta the House, was a mimosa made with home style orange juice.

I don’t anticipate purchasing anymore of their beers or “beers.”

I had both as well, thought Ticklin the Ivories was a rather solid NEIPA, but not as good as the stuff I've had from Ohio..I suspect basing your opinion on this contract brewed beer would be like someone basing their opinion of Carton on one of the Two Roads produced brews.... what didn't you like about it?

the other I'd put more on Evil Twin, but yes it was more juice than beer, thought it was OK, but half of one can was more than enough (plus the can was rock hard and on the verge of exploding because it was refermenting due to poor storage along the distro chain)

These are the only two Hoof Hearted beers I’ve had, so I cannot compared to anything brewed in Ohio.

I thought Ticklin the Ivories was good (as in BA rating of “good”). For me it had light notes of tropical fruit and stone fruit, but lacked any “pop.” I suppose it was too “juicy” and “sweet” for me. Of course, it could be said that that’s the style of beer. I just felt it went a little too far for my own personal preference.

As for Dad, I had it on draft, although I’ve read about the issues you described. I suppose I’ve just not had any beer that falls into that category. And while I did taste good, it did not hit the “hop spot” for me. I wouldn’t want that if I wanted an IPA. Even a NEIPA.

Have seen a bunch of new stuff recently. Zero gravity conehead and green state lager, upper pass first drop, prairie birthday bomb, hoof hearted amongst others. Is this all from serene?

I did score a 4 pack of Hoof Hearted Tickling on the vines or whatever its called, and did enjoy it very much. The only thing to be aware of is that the canned on date is early November.

I saw the Higher Burnin IPA and Coded Tiles at Bottle King Livingston but no canning date on either so i passed. Good luck to them entering a new market, distributing, and not letting us know how old their hoppy beers are.

I picked up both of these beers last week and both were just alright. I took a chance with no dates on the cans because of their reputation for making good stuff. Would really like to see dates on cans in the future though.
One beer I did purchase that did have a date was Interboro Mad Fat Fluid which was awesome. Glad to see Interboro on the shelves!
