I was looking for it at Meijer today and didn't see it. Was surprised to see Better Half still on the shelves.

I’ve seen it in a few stores around Lansing.

I was wondering how MF Donkey Stout is, as it sounds great. I also wondered if they’re wise enough to throw that in some barrels - seems like it’s a great fit for rum or bourbon barrels.

MF Donkey Stout offers incredibly rich coffee and fudge flavors. It's nicely balanced, really smooth, with just enough bitterness and it has a satisfying mouthfeel.

Probably not what everyone wants but at least it's in 4/packs.

I have yet to try it, so I am looking forward to it .

BM is one of my favorite Founders releases. Having it in 4 packs is even better news!

At this point, not a barrel aged IPA = great victory (to me at least).

Is Founders doing a ticketed release for CBS?

I haven't had Blushing Monk in years. Is it anything like Raspberry Tart from NG?

With RT, NG seemed to do the exact opposite of beer with raspberry flavor. RT is totally over the top and in your face raspberry. Almost like raspberry puree with a little beer mixed in. Which, quite honestly, I've enjoyed.

Does anyone know if the hops in Harvest Ale are different than last year? While it’s a good beer, I’m not getting the “brightness” in the wet hop aroma and flavor like I remember??

This year was Crystal and Cascade it seems. Here is an article which covers the three MI hop farms they used this year. If interested, here is another article on their move from using Washington hops to MI hops for Harvest Ale.

Last year used Chinook, Cascade and Centennial from one of Founders Twitter posts.

Thanks for the quick and informative response!

Could be the hops, could be they fall quick as there is 17 days on these fresh hops, or could just be a faulty memory on my part....

I'd echo your sentiments also. Very good beer but didnt seem as bright or grassy as I recall.

I'll echo the sentiments here, I always love Harvest and while this year's is solid, it's not something I need to rush out and get more of. Too bad.

Just wanna say that Inforgot how truly excellent Breakfast Stout is fresh. It’s as good as anything on the market, limited or otherwise.

The amount of flavor packed into an 8% stout is really impressive.

Don't tell the people over in the More thread, but yeah, this beer is incredible and a 4 pack costs about as much as a single can of More's stout.
