This is correct. I just saw "now on tap" but skipped the date part.

I've been critical of recent iterations of King Sue, specifically those which have been distro'd to Chicago. I feel TG has gone too NEIPA on it from what I recall in earlier years. But the Oct 01 version is pretty dang good imo, even if it still veers heavier on the NEIPA side of the spectrum.

Oddly enough, I also think the 10/1 version is the best recent iteration...for the exact opposite reason!

I've found the last few to be very bitter/west coast, but this one tastes way more fruity & less bitter.

    Vive La Difference!!

I agree the last iteration in cans was slightly more bitter. But not in the best way imo. One prior (I think) in bombers was just NE sludge. Abominable imo. This one is the best version I've had in Chicago distro certainly. But yes, cheers to Vive La Difference.

Pretty easy to get pours of MD at Binny's LP; they've also got Pompeii on tap.

I wouldn't go to Iowa for it, but it's really good. It's kind of like a slightly thicker CBS with more maple.

I DID go to Iowa for it...and I agree.

    I had a blast with a friend & made an adventure out of it...but it's not a game-changer.

Yeah, I shouldn't say that like it's an insult, since I wouldn't do that for most beers. It's probably the best maple beer I've had (I haven't had that many), for what it's worth.

Agreed - MD was delicious. I had a taste of b4 and thought it was average, but this batch was great.

I must say, the Mornin Delight pour I had last night at Hop Leaf was incredible. The amount of maple they get into a beer is something I haven't experienced before.

Tried my first can of King Sue last night. Was more impressed by the smell than taste. Overall very good - nothing earth shattering but will buy if available. Not as good as that first decorah can drop of Pseudo Sue last December!

How will this go over: "Honey, what would you think of going to Iowa for our December vacation? We'll save a lot of money by driving and I'm sure there is a ton to do there...."
