I see them all the time, but they are super pricy around here. Arguably worth it though. I've been lucky enough to drink two of them -- one was sent to me, the other was something I couldn't resist buying to check in the night of the Total Eclipse in 2017.

I believe I've had two - the Elijah Craig from 2016 or 2017, and one other... can't recall which it was. The Elijah Craig was quite good.

They are definitely expensive bottles - I've hesitated to buy them every time I've seen them. Always amazes me how many are on shelves when I visit Chicago, but I suppose it shouldn't given the price point.

Very excited to try the Apple Brandy!

I’ve also had two. One where I paid 34.99 plus tax for a bottle here on LI, the other where I got 5oz for $3 as part of a four beer flight. Both great, only one was worth the money.

Oof. You're a fucking black ray of sunshine, homes.

I believe they're about five dollars cheaper in Chicago, per memory - but I don't disagree... thirty dollars a bomber is steep.

I've paid more at brewery releases, so... it's difficult to judge these things, man.

In my new found passion for craft beer, I think the bottle of CBS I bought last year was $34-39 mostly because it was unlabeled and I sent a picture of the shelves to a cicerone buddy I have and he immediately said buy that!!!

That's the most I've ever spent (and hopefully ever will but we all know how that goes). lol.

I haven't but I guess I'll have to now! The spice itself was tolerable. The stomach ache all night was what made me regret. Good luck/ post videos if you decide to embark!

There was one time on LI one of the shops (forget which) was selling them for 19 (!!!??) dollars. Only had 1 or 2 left (or I wasn't doing well that week and couldn't buy more lol). Which makes me believe I have a double in the cellar somewhere...

Charm City Meadworks out of Baltimore. The label looks to be their Sweet Blossom still mead I think.

If memory serves it was a verry ginger mead, which sounded super tasty.

They've been $30 per bottle here, which has been my main reason for not buying them. I think they have 4-5 variants, though, which is what keeps attracting my attention. Thankfully, they moved them to a different area of the store I don't regularly frequent, so the temptation hasn't been there as much recently.

One other thing - last night I picked up a beer that was discussed a bit earlier in the thread. If I get my act together, there will be two ninja boxes going out next week before I go on vacation for the rest of the month. At least one of the boxes will have said beer in it.

The 2016 Elijah Craig was one of the two I had, the other was a 2014 Four Roses. Both were real good.

Yeah, it seems like they are in the $32-$35 range most places I've seen them.

Same. Except no vacation for me. Could we possibly be talking about the same beer? We shall see sometime soon. Hint- not purple

Possibly, but I would be surprised if it was the same. Not sure what I picked up gets much, if any, distribution outside its local market.

If anyone wants more I can send a care package before the season ends. I had no idea how hot these were and can't possibly use them all fresh.

Stop chasing Bill. I’m sending a King your way brother. I think you will be happy with another one that I picked up during my travels but will keep that a surprise. The second box will remain a secret so there is one ninja for me leaving soon also
