Completely agree. Been lucky enough to try assassin was definitely underwhelmed. My first thought was I'd rather have a bourbon county

 

Regular BC is just unbelievably underrated at this point. There's almost no barrel aged stout I'd rather drink. It's better than most of the variants as well.

 

It's easily one of my favorites. And I'm still able to find regular 17 BCBS in stores randomly, which makes it even better.

I was at least hoping for another marble release today to help me drown my sorrows for not getting a Henna ticket.

 

At least you missed it by a day. I was literally 4 minutes late checking the board.

 

Recently had BCS '17, Northwoods 17 (ok they only made it in 2017) & BC Coffee '17 on the same night.

BCS 17 was best by a mile.

 

I’m a huge fan boy of regular BCS, but you probably picked 2 of the worst (non-infected) variants over the past few years to taste it against IMO.

 

To be fair...they were all I had. But understood.

 

Yeah I was gonna say haha, Northwoods is the only actively bad BCBS I can remember and they haven't nailed coffee in years.

The point stands though even if you included something like prop from the previous couple years, the BW from the previous couple years, etc.

 

You didn’t like coffee 2016 when fresh?

 

I know I didn’t. Last coffee variant I liked was pre-infected 2015. And I flat out disliked 2017.

 

Trade me all of your 17 coffee!!!!

 

Ha, I traded the only one I bothered picking up (and it was only because of the trade... which I think was for Beatification).
