How long can I drink marzens and listen to Joy Division? A long time. I can't find them all myself, though. Thanks to @joe1510 for helping me out.
    Pollyanna/Fruhauf.

Deep copper body, boardering on mahogany. Clear, with a one finger beige head that dissipates to a pencil thin line around the glass.
Bready, grainy aroma. A nice big wiff of caramel. Hints of ripe red apple and Ricola.
Toasted malts and caramel up front in the taste. A nice bite of apple and medicinal hops mingle around.
Medium bodied with good carbonation. Soft, smooth mouth feel. Wonderful dry finish.

All around a great marzen. On the heavier side for the style but it by no means crosses a line. The closest thing to the balance and complexity of Paulaner that one would find here in the States.

    Cheers, all.

My spaghetti sauce is underway...taking a break from the kitchen “heat” and red wine, a stout I believe is new to me - Cycle’s “Sunday” from this past spring’s Tampa Bay Beer Week - enough talk, let’s drink:

It’s good. It’s sweet. It tastes like a Cycle. It’s ok. As a homer for my local big guns brewery, this is perfectly fine...Cheers for Sunday!

    That beer looks terrible.

Joy Division divides joy in half and then adds one full portion of misery to each half portion of joy.

It's finally feeling like Autumn. Perfect afternoon for a Russian Imperial Stout, this one courtesy of @Vidblain. If it weren't for the ABV I could drink this all evening!

Dessert Berliner with guanabana and cherimoya. This was outstanding. Great head retention/lacing for the style. Aromas and flavors of big lightly tart lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, strawberry, banana, coconut, red/green apple, white wine, hay, straw, herbal, and grass; with moderate vanilla, cream, wheat, cracker, white bready malt balance; light pepper, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness; light fruit tang, spiciness, and herbal/grassy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation, light-medium body, and fairly crisp/clean finishing. Balanced grainy malts and lactic acid; light sticky hops and fruit tang in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing acidic dryness; no pucker/astringency. Very flavorful/refreshing, 6.5%, not overly lactic. Not as sweet as other dessert styles I've had, but this was spot on. Balanced juicy tropical fruits and Lacto complexity; with nice vanilla, lactose, and pale/wheat malt balance against acidity. 4.15

Awesome IPA. Great fluffy head retention/lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, wood, and pine hops; with moderate cracker, white bready malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, woody, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body, and moderately crisp finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malts and sticky/resinous/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing resin dryness, no hop astringency. Very smooth, not overly aggressive, minimal warming 6.5%. Very vibrant, dank, and earthy balance Simcoe hop complexity; nice clean pale malt backbone, with no residual sweetness from dryness. 4.1

Yes, for what it is. I like it over all other " light" stuff. Rated best tasting light crap a year or two ago....

It looks bad because it is in front of the album cover.

Ran errands with the kids earlier, last stop was at Oswego Brewing Company. Had the Milkshaker IPA, a collaboration with Tangled Roots. Not bad, not great, but definitely worth stopping in for a try and playing a game of Yahtzee with the five year old and seeing the end of the Bears' loss.
