I just walked in to a package on my porch courtesy of @Dwood1466 from Texas. I have edited my original post and must send my apologies to him and you all as I consider this participation! I was sent a box that truly nails what I like and it was a complete surprise. My sincerest thanks goes out to @Dwood1466. I guess the moral is dont be so quick to judge. That being said give me some feedback on the beers I sent you man! Just a quick note would be perfect. Send me your NE wants and I will make sure you get anything I can get my hands on.
PS he was my target not my sender...

 

I agree. I won't likely get out a scheduled package to our overlord @beertunes till next week. Any ninja packages will have to wait till my car situation is taken care of, and I know what my finances are. Believe me, some of you totally deserve some hard to get state beer love, and I will get it to you as soon as I can.

Hopefully my car is towed away today, so the process can get into high gear.

 

Glad everything made it up there intact! That jar is sloe berry jelly courtesy of my father in law. Really good on homemade biscuits.

Funny thing is I packed up the box and realized i left out the mystery beer, brewery swag, and a couple more 750s that were meant to go in there. Didn't have time to unpack it and hunt down a bigger box so I guess I'll have to send a small 3rd box to round off your Arkansas/southern beer haul from this round. Enjoy the beers my man!

 

Duuuuuude. My first MILF was an extra a couple months back, and it was the best beer in the box. No joke. There was a BBT in that box, and the MILF was still my favorite beer from that trade.

You are a lucky man there, sir - those beers are bound to be a real treat.

GREAT box, man - super generous with the MILFs. That jelly sounds delicious, too.

Maybe not only a minimum number of NBS contributions, but maybe even over a minimum time frame. Like at least 3 months. Hell, that part would help keep me eligible these days as I continue to work more and more on weekends.

 

I agree with this, i may miss 2 or 3 Sunday's in a row but the other days I post multiple new beers. i am not sure my wife will not let me sit at home on the weekend and just drink!!!

 

I completely agree with this, it is one thing if you are screwing yourself but when you are taking the joy from someone else that is just not fair. Hey @FlintB didn't you mention the group bombing the hell out of the person who did not get a box?? I am not sure if this is the same BIF since I am currently in three but it could turn out good in the end. It still sucks that it keeps you from participating due to a target or sender not being active.

 

I'm for it.

I know I was sort of in the "against" camp when last we hashed this out - exclusivity and whatnot. But, it really does suck for everyone when we have effectively absent participants.

Sending killer boxes is great; sending thank you boxes is great. But get in the fucking thread and take part in the conversation. It's my favorite thing about the BIF. If you're just here for the beer, stick to the other BIFs or trade forums. There are plenty of options - sports BIFs, Locals, Newbies, Rookies, Cans-Cans, etc.

Leaving your target in the dark until a box arrives is kind of a shitty thing to do. Then, taking your boxes with a cursory thank you and disappearing sucks even more. Have some respect for the other participants in this thread, or just don't join the BIF.

Yeah, that was in our first round of Rookies, Mike. It sucked for the guy who was left hanging, but we did make it right for him in the end.

 

Oh yeah. @beertunes better pray his sender in Rookies gets him a box, or we're going to flatten his house.

 

That sounds like a good idea to me.
