Best beer news I've heard in a long time!

 

Tomorrow night at the Wine Spot in Cleveland Heights there will be an Expedition Stout vertical tasting with flights from 2015 to present from 6-9.

Also at various Heinens they're celebrating Cleveland Beer Week with various collabs on tap. Abuela's Chocolate Porter @ 10.1% for $16/growler is particularly tasty.

 

God I really wish I didn’t work 2nd shift haha

I’m officially looking for this one now, but for the record, Hop stalker is as good as ever and I’m glad to have downed a couple growlers. Not sure why they did Juju instead, but whatevah

Great aroma. Really ripe fruit. Lots of herbal/piney resin and bitterness. Insanely drinkable.

 

Just had some Stalker and it is really nice this year... Prefer it over Stryker.

Picking up some Yakima in the next day or two to compare. Looking forward to it.

 

I'm still looking for both Yakima Fresh and Hop Juju in the Akron area. Columbus usually shows up on Wednesdays at my normal spots.. did a quick check at my local spots and no sign of it yet. Anyone in the Akron area see either yet?

Just picked up a 12 pack today. Better than the 4 bottles I got last year (because I got the last 4 on the shelf lol)

 

Will be interested to hear thoughts, esp. relative to your experience as you can remember it last year. Haven't found any around here yet.

 

Last year it was exquisite. With a fresher IPA I tend to drink half of it extremely fresh (it's only 8 days old) and half of it with a few more days on it.

I trust WM's faith in it because he's never steered me wrong before.

 

The Hills Market downtown didn't have it y'day, they typically get CBC quickly. Weiland's had it today. Grabbed a couple 4's. Now, where is the Juju lol

 

I got mine at my go to spot in SE Ohio (Athens Kroger). That one grocery store gets so many of the heavy hitters ASAP. Must be a vibrant market because of the college lol.

 

May be a dumb question, don’t crucify me...but does Yakima typically fly off the shelves around Columbus, or does it linger for a week or two?

I ask because I will be up in Cbus on Tuesday for a meeting and was going to try to grab some if time allows. I wish CBC was available down here in Cincy.
