Well shit the wife toted another box in the house. In case you did not know I made the mistake of joining 3 BIFs at one time and I have been ninjaed twice this week today makes the third. The wife said you got another box of beer and I was thinking no damn way but yes. I came home to these great beers from @r0rschach . The good news is he left his address on the box and I can assure you payback will be a MFer. In all seriousness these sound amazing and I really appreciate it.

Dank, juicy Citra/Mosaic hop bomb - that sorta hazy burnt orange color with an off-white head, and ripe mango and and mandarin oranges on the nose, with a bit of a bite on the palate, and a full body with a lingering finish.

You know the one. This is that beer, a subset of a styled that I REALLY enjoy. I could drink this all night.

Ah, that makes sense then. @beertunes is probably just still sore about 2004 and 2013

Is this Fruity Pebbles in my beer glass? No, but it’s fruity hoppy flavors all OVER the place, and the milk sugar fits spectacularly well, IMHO.

I love that bite . Love the beer, too- true to its name it seems to have a puckish personality to it. I grab some whenever I'm visiting Son #1. Glad you're enjoying it too. Cheers!

    Commotion APA.

Easy drinking, not too hoppy, I like it.

    3.87/5 rDev -0.8%
    look: 4 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 4 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 3.75

Pours a murky golden color. The head is 1 finger, white, frothy, and the retention is good. A bit of lacing on the glass.
The nose is a mellow hoppy aroma. Not very strong, but there, and a pleasing pineapple aroma.
Taste - A lot more hoppy than I was expecting. Nice pineapple flavor. Not very strong, but there, and easy drinking.
Lighter bodied, but not watery in the least. Hops do linger a bit.
    Delicious, easy drinking APA.

Time for one more from @jdell15 - this time from the great state of Texas, and it really shocked me how good it is.

Redbud. It is a Berliner Weisse, and holy cow, is it good.

    4.03/5 rDev +3.6%
    look: 3.75 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 4.25 | feel: 4 | overall: 4

Pours a fairly clear lighter golden color. The head is white, 1 finger, with decent retention. Minimal lacing on the glass.
The nose is lighter, and slightly malty. Slight lemon aroma.
Taste - Wow! This flavor is really quite rich. It has a very pleasing lemon flavor.
The body is light, but not watery at all. The lemon does linger in my throat and it's a nice feeling.
Awesome Berliner. So full flavored and easy drinking. It would be great on a hot day, which, it is for October in Minnesota.

Well, my car was towed away yesterday, and I'll be getting a rental car for the weekend. Hopefully I'll get the official confirmation that the car is toast soon, and I can go from there.

I don't follow this stuff that closely. I'm sure there's a more likely choice but...

Reason 126 why I love this group: you all do a great job of expanding my palate.
    Machine House Brewing's Dark Mild
Though I love a good ESB, I'm not often seeking out milds. This is entirely outside of my usual repertoire.

Pours deep brown with two fingers of light mocha head. Bubbles are medium with some large.
Nose is light- coffee, dark chocolate. There's a bitter, funky note that reminds me of rye bread.
Taste is cocoa, caramel, slight bitterness like club soda.
Mouthfeel is smooth, medium but has a very substantial aspect to it. Swish agitates smooth, soft bubbles. I really appreciate this aspect of the beer.
Overall, not my favorite style but quite glad to have the opportunity to examine it thoughtfully. Thank you @kemoarps

Another from @colts9016 box. Lots of caramel malts with a nice Citra Hop bite. Head is like ice cream. A nice change of pace from the lightly malted IPAs. Tasty beer. [IMG]

Hope you enjoy! Doubling up on that one beer was definitely a mistake, probably meant to put the blueberry one in there. However DDH Dingle is at least temporarily our highest rated beer so hopefully having two isn't a bad thing.

So I have given a great deal of thought concerning the issue of new people/participation etc.

I think participation in this thread and NBS is of the utmost importance. The least important part of this BIF to me is the beers that I receive. I try to send a lot of NJ beers and I look forward to the opinion of someone who has never had them and doesn't have the local prejudices (for and against) that I have. When you get absolutely no feedback, it is like "Why bother?"

My target this time around posted 1 of the beers that I sent in NBS. The second box that I sent-he didn't even post a photo of what he received. Hope you enjoy it. I was planning on a third box but instead I am sending out some ninja boxes.

For me, this BIF has been an enormously fun time. You guys are crazy and I love the banter. If you are not part of the back and forth you are not an asset to the BIF and should move on.

I don't want to close it to new members though. Some of the recent joiners are some of my favorite participants.

Ok I'm done. I am sleep deprived, drunk and need another beer
