Canadian barleywine. This was fantastic. Aromas and flavors of big golden raisin, grapefruit, orange, peach, plum, pear, apricot, nutty coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, maple syrup, vanilla, bourbon, toasted oak, brown bread, and biscuit; with lighter notes of coconut, molasses, white chocolate, cocoa, pine, herbal, floral, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Touch of booze in the aromas as it warms, but not overwhelming. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness; and light bourbon/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; very creamy/bready/grainy malts; some sticky hops and bourbon/oak tannins in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing lingering bitter/tannin dryness, no cloying/astringency. Mildly increasing warmth of 11.8%, with minimal barrel booze after the finish. Super spot on for the American style. Amazing balance of maple syrup, coffee, citrus/earthy hops, bourbon barrels, and malts. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness.

This was very nice. Flavors of big pumpkin, seeds, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, gingerbread, toasted pie crust, caramel, brown sugar, spiced rum, vanilla, coconut, toasted oak, and herbal/peppery hops. Similar aromas with boozy rum undertones, but not too overwhelming. Light-moderate herbal/spice bitterness and rum/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body. Creamy, silky, bready, grainy malts; some sticky spice and rum/oak tannins in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter/tannic dryness, no cloying/astringency. Lightly increasing warmth of 13.4%, mild barrel booze. Smooth sipping. I really enjoyed this, but definitely has to warm up a bit. Previous years had a mellower rum presence, but this one is full force insanity on the barrel by comparison. Got another bottle on impulse, and will have no problem drinking it. Preferred the previous vintages more.

Great stuff! Aromas and flavors of lightly tart/tangy passion fruit, lemongrass, tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/zest, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate white, cracker, white bready malt; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, grassy, spicy bitterness; and slight fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Medium carbonation, light-medium body, and fairly crisp/clean finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malts and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Slight resins/acidity, light-moderate increasing dryness, no hop astringency. Very flavorful/refreshing 4.6%. Not watery. Feels like Galaxy hops to complement the passion fruit as expected. Very juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hops/fruit; nice pale/wheat malt backbone for the ABV. Minimal residual sweetness.

Always amazing. Flavors of nutty medium roast coffee, milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, toffee, brown sugar, toasted brown bread, and light smoke/dark fruit; with some herbal/woody hop and coffee characteristics. Light-moderate herbal hop and roasted coffee bitterness on the finish. Full-ish body creamy/silky malt mouthfeel, with some sticky hop and chalky roast notes as well. Lightly increasing lingering bitter/roasted dryness. Very smooth, minimal warming 9%. One of the most coffee forward beers I've had. Intense on fruity/nutty coffee complexity; and the base brown ale is spot on, and very well balanced. Like a brown ale version of FBS, and I feel it is equally as impressive. Will seek out more packs from this batch. Smoothing out nicely on the hop/roast bitterness after 10 months as usual.

New Gorod album is awesome as expected.

Amazing gose as always. Aromas and flavors of big tart/sour lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, white wine, coriander, sea salt, hay, straw, and grass; with moderate wheat, cracker, bready malts; light lacto funk, white vinegar, and yeast earthiness. Moderate lactic tartness, and light-moderate coriander spiciness on the finish. Medium-high carbonation, light-medium body, and moderately crisp/clean finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malt and lactic acid in the mouthfeel; some sticky spice and light salinity. Moderate increasing acidic/spicy/carbonated dryness, no pucker. Very flavorful/refreshing, 5.2%. Feels a lot less intensely sour than I recall in previous years. This is one of my favorite Gose for sure, still holds up to what I rated it years ago.

Fantastic session IPA as always. Aromas and flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, melon, citrus peel/rind, light pepper, and pine hops; with moderate lightly toasted biscuit, light honeyed malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation, light-medium body, and moderately crisp/clean finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malts and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Light resins/rinds, light-moderate increasing dryness, no hop astringency. Very flavorful/refreshing, 4.7%. Not watery at all. Amarillo/Simcoe hops just like Double Trouble, pretty much the same flavors. Very vibrant and fairly juicy/dank/earthy hops complexity; nice pale malt backbone, minimal residual sweetness. Will definitely keep this in the fridge more often now, forgot how much I loved it. Absolute best SIPA available. Got a fresh 6 pack recently. Glad the cans are not exclusively in the 15 pack anymore!

I've got 35 grams of some of my favorite coffee about to go into the grinder for a few proper cups of coffee, but I wanted to start the day off a little differently. Stumbled into this one on the bottom shelf of a local bottle shop. Very eager to visit it.

It's out now? Last year the local grocery store thought it would be flying off the shelves so hid it in the supply closet and nobody had any idea it was even there. Still passed on it when I saw the price

How does this compare to their bombers of Coffee Stout and Rye Barrel Choc Porter ?

If the Coffee Stout was Martin Short, and the Rye Barrel Chocolate Porter was Chevy Chase, this beer would be Steve Martin.
