If you end with any extras let me know  I was thinking of doing the same but I'm not in the area tonight or tomorrow and I doubt they'll last past that

The Guillemot they had on tap at fermentaria several months ago was exactly like the original Brewcafe version. It's the best beer they've ever made, and it lasted forever on tap. Stocking up on bottles should be easy.

Anyone have any clue how the OV is holding up? If even OV day hype is over this will truly be a blessed day.

There was zero line at 3pm, per some photos from a beer group on Facebook.

    Line was small today. Surprising.

Florida, St Louis, Iowa, Indiana, New England, Virginia, etc etc... key quantifier is "hype", not necessarily "good".

I showed up there around 8:15, and they still had everything but regular OV, although supplies were dwindling. I got the last 4-pack of something, and there were only a few cases left of everything. Was able to get all 4 variants. 10/10, would recommend late OV day run.

They probably had more in the back. When they don't update their website at close, it usually means nothing sold out

A little more than a few cases left of the variants, they obviously had more in the fridge.

    Per Can web page:

    Single Origin Coffee: 15 cases
    Chocolate Lavender: 25 cases
    Stawberry Milkshake: 15 cases
    Rice Pudding: 40 cases

So I had last night a taste of the Strawberry Milkshake Void and the Rice Pudding Void. I thought the milkshake was ok, but nothing to write home about. I thought the ruce pudding was really good. I've had the coffee before and know that's really good, so next up I need to try the chocolate lavendar.

Had a feeling OV wouldn't sell out. How are they?

Yeah, this morning's update indicates the inventory barely moved from 6:30 to close. I wonder if they'll up their game and do coffee bourbon barrel next year or something.

Funny, I was chatting in line with a few of the TH line guys and they were all stoked that the lines were short. I even listened as one of the guys gave a line update over the walkie and the guy on the other end of said it was cool that the line was short too. Again though, with 800 and some allotments of the Voids you really didn't need to stand in the line at all.

So my only question is why the original OV sold out first, seems funny to me. I would have banked the Milkshake Void would be the first sellout.

Maybe because its a reliable beer and people know what they are getting? While the others sound intruiging, they could have all honestly wound up a mess. Plus, at the price, dropping a ton of cash on multiple variations of a stout that you have never had may not be lucrative. However, beer traders/tickers are a different breed.

Or could it be *gasp* that people are losing interest in adjunct stouts? Nah not likely.

I imagine a lot of people will be going back today to double dip. I'll be surprised if it lasts until the evening

The most obvious explanation is that it sold out first because it was the least expensive.

However, it's also possible that the most typical buying habit for people was to buy a regular OV, plus anywhere from 1-4 of the variants to try with the regular version. So it would make sense for it to be the first one to sell out. I think stuff like fruit or lavender in a stout turns people off, so I can see why they wouldn't sell as fast. I'm really surprised that the coffee didn't sell out, though.

They also could have canned less of the regular. I was still surprised to walk up at 4:30 with no line but no regular. Passed on the lavender

That pallet of shake cans was hard to miss just sitting out in the middle of the Ferm today.
