$100 for one 12 oz bottle is absolutely insane.

I'm generally pretty bad when it comes to my willingness to pay for "overpriced" beer (paying $20+ for IPA 4-packs, etc.), but this is a price level I'm not interested in.

It's really not just the price either, but for people who don't live in the area, it's also a huge time commitment for one bottle (although, you get the good fortune of being able to purchase another MD bomber for $40 lol).

F these guys. I'm in the minority and haven't had KBBS but Assassin, SR, MD are all good, not great beers. Their hops are hit or miss. I won't even bother to give this brewery my $$

Lol, where was the price listed? Not sure I'm down with $100. Sounds like it is just pushing the black market price up.

My first thought was at seeing the $100 for a 12oz bottle was "Hell no, that's too much." My second thought was "Why can I only buy one?"

Not having it on tap either is just mind blowing to me. I've never had KBBS but I may be done with these guys on principle. I really enjoy some of their beer too (my previous posts in this thread will confirm that), but this is just awful.

I understand that they're getting in on the "secondary is gouging, so why can't we make a little of that?" money, but that sucks. I've never had KBBS (and in fairness, I'm not that much of a coffee stout guy, so it's probably wasted on me), but that's not a price point that makes 1) the trip or 2) the size of the allotment worth it. The difference in quality between beers in the top 5% is so slim, it's just hard to imagine this being a justifiable move.

And as @HawksBeerFan said, not on tap? C'mon, man.

I was thinking the same thing. I do enjoy many of their beers. $100 for one 12oz beer? Yikes. And to not have it on tap at the event. I get it's a small batch, but come on. Like you said, I may have to bypass their beer on principle alone. I'd rather support other breweries that don't blatantly gouge their customer.

part of me wants to get a ticket, go, get the bottle, walk out, and chug it.

Yeah, usually these feel like celebrations of the beer/brewery, even if the event itself is expensive. This just reeks of a "we know we can charge this so pay up or fuck off."

$100 for a 12oz bottle... yeah, I like my BA beers... but I'm not paying $100 for one 12oz bottle. I won't even pay $12-15 for a 12oz bottle of Firestone Walker's offerings most the time.

    1 bottle pp
    None on draft
None for their "mug club" members

Must not be a large yield...

Looks like they made about 3 Bbls worth? That's if my math is somewhat correct.

I'm sure they are holding some back to charge $200 for at their next event.

When I typed 3 Bbls, I was honestly thinking that they probably had another barrel worth they are keeping to themselves for employees/future on-site events. I wasn't thinking of the sinister $200 price tag (or more), but you're probably right.

I agree. I hope everyone sticks to their guns and doesn't try to buy a ticket on Nov. 13. We'll show 'em!
