Holy shit, $6 to purchase a ticket to purchase a $100 12 oz. beer? Unreal.

 

My initial internal dialogue was, "Fuck that." After reading all the details about this release I can publicly proclaim, double fuck that.

I'd help fund this cause if you take a video for us.

TG should do some collaboration with the field museum where bottles of KBBS are hidden in concrete and you have to very carefully extract them without breaking them like a paleontologist digging dinosaur bones. Would be so interesting to see the combination of frantic, doggedly determined scrambling and delicate, loving chiseling. The block contains 30 bottles, there are 100 tickets available, and they each cost $200 for the experience. The public gets to watch from behind glass. Who's in?

 

They should have a promotion bring an empty pseudo sue can get in free. Was kind of tempted to go see the mummies on Halloween and drink the beer till iooked up admission cost

 

Admission for 1 adult + guest is $100 or so a year, TG should do a promotion where everyone who buys a bottle of KBBS gets a free membership to the Field.

 

Some of the people complaining about the $100 price tag are the same people who will try to sell it for a few hundred more.

 

Well yeah. I'm not a fan of TG's move here (obviously), but flippers are the original source of this issue (them and the people willing to pay secondary on a 12 oz. coffee stout with an MSRP of $100).

 

Someone in the Toppling Goliath thread in the Midwest forum pointed out that when KBBS was released in 2014, it was sold at a price of $25 per 12 oz bottle.

That's quite a bit of inflation in 4 years time...

 

It sucks, because I'm inclined to want to support TG because I like what they're doing with the Field Museum. But between this, the weirdness of PsuedoSue since it hit Chicago, and the whole non-compete thing a couple months back, it's hard for me personally to justify giving them money.

 

Can someone compile all the TG threads of outrage from 2014 of people exclaiming they would never pay $25 for a 12oz bottle? Yet somehow we are here.
