@bl00 hit me with a second box this week and I couldn't wait to try out this barrel aged barleywine from Oliver Brewing Company who I have no previous experience with, so bonus points! It's called Hot Monkey Love and the can is about 7 months old. Reviews weren't too favorable on release but maybe those months did it some good because I love this stuff! There's oaky bourbon notes right out of the gate followed up by dried fruit, brown sugar, and leather. It's a big boozy sipper and that happens to be my favorite kind of brew. Really enjoyed this one, thanks so much Dan!

Well, I just got word from the insurance company that my car is a total loss. The value is $3600, and the damage is around $8000.

Time to get a new car.

I love the videos. I think Monstrance Clock won't be as amazing live under Copia as it would have been under one of the first two Papas. But that's just me, having seen some live clips that just look amazing.

So I gotta show off something to you guys. My girlfriend got me a Cricut machine for my birthday and I've been having fun with it to say the least. This is the second glass I've done. Been experimenting with different ways to seal the glasses after I get the vinyl on there.

Still working out some kinks in my process but it's so cool. Next step is to get a compressor and mess around with sandblasting/etching so the graphics are really on there for good and they're much more dishwasher safe. (I hand wash my nice beer glasses anyway, doesn't everybody?)

Basically just be on the lookout for a nice homemade twist to the glass swag I send in the future....

So far, a few coats of clear nail polish has been the winner. Tried mod-podge first and that can get kinda gunky and start to come off if it sits in water for too long.

Mrs y2k asked what kind of vinyl are u using? She thinks there are strong vinyl people use on things like cars and hydroflasks.

I'll check when I get home, but I just grabbed it from hobby lobby, wasn't anything special or expensive. I'm pretty sure it was cricut brand standard adhesive vinyl.

Awesome job! Who wouldn't love to get something like that?!

How do you make the design- does the machine come with its own software or do you just make up a pdf?

With these new models you can pull any image off the internet and with a little tweaking, you're good to go. It has an app but it's all really intuitive and easy to use.

Had my Nephew's 2nd birthday party yesterday and I was able to share a few of the beers @WesMantooth and @Roguer sent my way. Thanks Corey and Andrew!
I was too drunk to do any kind of NBS post, but I wanted to highlight one I had early in the day:
This was an excellent beer. Shared it with a couple of craft beer fans and they all loved it. I am not always a fan of coconut in beer and was pleasantly surprised by this one.

This was an example of a beer that blended all the flavors really well and was a nice thick stout. The chocolate was the most prominent, but not overpowering, and then the coffee/vanilla/coconut just complemented each other nicely. The finish was mostly vanilla was a slight coconut flavor. If you love huge coconut, this is probably not for you, but if you like a nice subtle bit of it, its perfect.

    Thanks again Corey!
