Tuesday October 30th, if you're attending the BT party. October 31st if not.

Just got the email with details for early entry to the BT party, so I guess I did check in on Flok each time

I had the non-BA version when it was on tap, in December 2017.... Unsurprisingly, I can't remember anything about it but I rated it a 3.75 out of 5, which for me means that I quite liked it, but was not quite "loved"

So since this thread seems to function as a catchall for Bruery related inquiries even if not strictly about Society allocations, I'm wondering if anybody here can give me a sense of how Frambulous and The Bramble differ beyond abv, and which, if either, is worth buying.

I finally had my bottle shipped up a couple of days ago and opened it last night. I'm not a die hard fan of White Chocolate only because it is so rich and hard to drink a lot of. I'm good for a half glass every once in a while. But I'll pick up a variant just to give it a try. Still have to open my Cherry WC.

That being said, I don't think my bottle of Chunk was infected. The smell was the best part. I got lots of cocao with a healthy dose of nuttiness. But, I found, don't drink it cold. It sat in my fridge for 24hrs. The only flavor I could detect out of the bottle was tart ethanol. Which made me think it was infected to start. But it didn't take long for the flavors to come out and that tartness to fade as it warmed.

Overall, it was OK. It's been a while since I've had WC and I think I liked the base beer better. Chunk wasn't quite as sweet and it was a little dry and astringent on the finish. I've got half a bottle left, so we'll see what a little oxidation does to it.

Tried Rubus Cipres, very good. I love it. Also, that Etain w/ coffee and vanilla is amazing, and only 14 dollars for a crowler!

Finally opened American Anthem. Super delicious. Tons of flavor and well balanced.

2015 Chocolate Rain is Chocolate Reign. Time has treated it well. Stored 55 degrees more or less. Smooth chocolate. Worth the wait. Putting 17’s and 18’s aside.

Looks like they changed the BT recipe this year. Must of heard people complaining that it’s brown not black.

“This year's batch is noticeably darker and smoother attributed to the darker roasted malt bill and careful bourbon barrel aging ranging anywhere from 13-16 months! This monster of an imperial stout is blessed with notes of vanilla, caramel, dark chocolate, and singed oak delighting your taste-buds. Bourbon, chocolate, and roasty notes on the nose roll together to create a decadent, sophisticated fusion that’s fit to claim its own day of the week.
    19.2% ABV”

Hopefully it’s not as tangy too.

I like the Bruery house twang. Without that it wouldn’t even taste like a Bruery beer.

Yes, it’s definitely a house taste. Fresh is a little much to me but it ages really well. The 2017 is pretty amazing already. Fresh... I have a hard time.

Just got an e-mail about black Tuesday release. Seems like you can pick up at 10am on the 30th. If I swung by around noon on my lunch break would it be sold out by then?

No, the in house public sale will last for days if not weeks.
