Yeah, I didn't see anything vague. No tents. No open flames. No open containers. Seems pretty straight forward. Basically they're saying "This isn't a party, you're waiting in line to get your beer. Treat it as such."

 

I just don't get the obsession some of u all have with waiting in line. Everyone butthurt they can't have tents. Tents are for camping and this ain't a campout.

Yeah, I think some are confusing "vague" with "I don't like the changes".

 

I got a peek at an alternate reality where Binny's allowed tents again this year, I think our timeline is making the right call:

 

For all in tents and porpoises the pro-tent crowd is just awful. And the pro-propane heater people aren't much better.

 

Did they say anything about wooden ice fishing shanties or tiny homes?

Is my ice fishing hut excluded? What about my Menards shed? Technically, **adjusts glasses** Binny's does not exclude removable structures. With a fishing hut or shed that isn't camping it's living, baby!

I think you’re onto something with the tiny home. No way that can be construed as camping.

 

What about teepees? I mean... it's not a tent, it's a teepee. Totally different. And then when I start the fire in there, it's not open flame, because it's in my teepee.

 

So with the opening moving up to 7AM im gonna guess showing up at 4AM wont cut it anymore. I think my wife is going to kill me this year haha

 

There are people there at 7pm the night before. Did showing up at 4am ever cut it?And haven't they always opened up at 7am in LP?

 

There have been people lined up at 7P.M or earlier on a Wednesday before. As far as if 4A.M. ever cut, yes... especially in 2015 and even 2016. I think both of those years you could have showed up near open and still had a full allotment. In 2015 I think they still had a few full allotments even after they opened and you lined up right around 9A.M. 2017 however... No. Did not cut it showing up at 6A.M.

It use to open at 9A.M.

 

Binny's is gonna have cops on duty if this keeps up.

Thinking about being in Milwuakee for the week of thanksgiving. Does anybody know the best, or atleast good spots to go for the release?

 

As said above showing up at 4AM was fine for 2015 and 2016, I think last year got a little crazier but 4AM still would have got you the allotment. I believe for 2015 and 2016 you could have shown up around 8AM and received full allotments, this changed in 2017 where I think you had to be there at or before 7AM.

Also yeah it used to open at 9AM and now its opening earlier so that might make this year worse than 2017.

 

I've never been, so didn't know. I've typically avoided this kinda thing, and also just got into the BA beer scene in late 2016 or so.

I'd imagine this year will be pretty bad with all that's offered at LP.

 

You're not missing anything; it sucks and is (I'd argue) one of the worst parts of being a craft beer head.

(unless you're there drinking with friends for hours, in which case it's probably perfectly fun as long as you're okay with doing something A) illegal and B) that Binny's prohibits. Not judging, just saying that's the only way this shit is fun)
