    Just mowed my lawn after work; likely the last time this season - still looking nice and green though!

    Picked this up last night at my fav bottle shop in Kent - of all the "fresh / wet hop" beers I have had - this one hits a sweet spot for me....yummo

    today was "First Pour" day of the Great Lakes Christmas Ale at the CLE brewpub.....on a sunny 50 degree day in late October - this seems like a far better beer option!

    Pours the color of a dirty penny, minimal tan head,zero lacing, a hint of an oily residue on the glass. Hint of tart cherries in the aroma and obviously bourbon. Taste buds get toffee, caramel, ash, vanilla and oak. Oh yeah, some bourbon heat. Texture is a bit thin for the style, no carbonation. Most importantly this is a damn tasty beer. Best guess, its over a year old.
