Only my second favorite discussion. My favorite is "has anyone noticed that this year's SN Celebration version tastes different, and/or isn't as good as previous vintages?"

The hops are fresh, not wet

For some reason I find it heartening that as years go by and different styles slip in and out as the new big awesome thing, the arrival of Celebration is still happily anticipated. Don't ever change, drunkards.

I'll be picking up a sixer at the first opportunity.

Always special for me as it’s one of the first IPAs I ever really liked. And I think the first time i ever had it was at the Portsmouth Brewery. Tod Mott used to get a keg every year and put it on since it was one of his favorite beers. Shaun Hill and others have also talked about how much they love it and drink it every year. They should make a documentary on it the same way they do for obscure indie/punk bands where major acts talk about how influential lesser known bands were to them.

As many of you, I'm looking forward to that first six pack of the season. I've admittedly fallen hard for the haze craze, but Celebration is still something worth... celebrating.

got sixers of Celebration and Born Yesterday at Bacon's in Hudson.. only one case of Celebration though. Kinda surprised BY was on the shelf instead of in the cooler though, hopefully not a big deal.

Won't be sampling until the weekend though. It's a school night.

In today's IPA market it's a very unique IPA. In my opinion it always has been, but now it really stands out.

That would be cool, although Celebration is a national brand, not exactly an "obscure indie/punk band".

    That ruby red hue...

I don't even love it the way many here do, but the enthusiasm is definitely infectious.

Think this is about the same for me. I moved to Sacramento in spring 2005. I started getting into craft beer around that time. I liked a lot of the California IPAs (Racer 5 especially!), and then a few months later Celebration hit shelves. Friends recommended it, I tried it, I was blown away. Been a tradition ever since.

Was just told Merrimack Valley area won’t get it till next Wednesday. Wtf - always late with the SN deliveries up this way - per SN’s website Girardi Distribuors? If so they blow.

Celebration & Harvest Wet Hop are 2 of my all-time favorites. Anyone know if Harvest is on it's way East?

That's cool. I'll be able to work my way through this first 12 pack and by the time I'm done a new batch will arrive on my doorstep
