Man, Racer 5 was one of my favorites too. Still enjoy it a ton when remotely fresh. I used to drink Racer 5, Arrogant Bastard, Torpedo, etc. so damn much in college.

They were but I was passed out from drinking IPAs all night.

Campus Wines got their Celebration in for anyone in RI. I’ll be grabbing some tomorrow.

Checked 4 stores in Worcester. Came up empty. Unfortunate. I'm sure it'll be everywhere next week, but if anyone knows where to pick up in central MA, I'd be grateful!

    We’re no longer friends.

I drank Keystone Light. How did you afford that?

Picked up a six pack at Ball Square Liquors.

That's okay. I was kind of intimidated by your wealth and workout routine anyway.

It's funny, I was a Pale Ale drinker very early on because I lived out west but I don't recall ever seeing Celebration back in the day. It's possible they didn't ship it to Arizona because it didn't fit with the weather. It's also possible I assumed it was a spiced christmas beer of some sort and just ignored it.

By the time I had it I was already drinking all the big west coast sorts of IPAs so it felt more like a step back towards something like harpoon. That might be why it didn't quite grab me.

I do still look forward to grabbing a sixer though and surfing a bit on everyone else's enthusiasm  On that note, all the SN is currently $12.99/twelve pack at Atlas Liquors in medford. Seems likely that price will remain once they get their celebration shipment.

He gets drunk off one beer, so he actually saved money

Keystone Light is the worst cheap beer...by far.

And it's more like two, come on Rob.

I’m doing Sober October, it’s terrible. But, apparently, SNCA is dropping on or around November 1st in my area. Coincidence? I think not.

You know, I was going to play the lottery, but I saw you could "only" win 1.6 billion. 1.6 billion!? What is this amateur hour?

Full disclosure, I used to think it was hyped a bit too much. But this was back when West Coast IPAs were more prominent. Don't get me wrong, I always enjoyed it and thought it was a good beer.

But over the years I've gained more of an appreciation for it. The reason is likely two fold: It's more unique today with all the New England IPAs, and my palate may have changed to appreciate it more as well.

If he bought Keystone Light he could still drink just one beer and save even more money.

    I'm not proud of it.

Southington wine and spirits has it at $16.99 a twelve. $9.99 a six. I grabbed a 12 of celebration and a Sierra Nevada snow pack.

ha pretty similar, though I've always like SNPA more than Torpedo. I drank plenty of AB but Ruination was a favorite beer of mine for a while.

But Bear Republic was KING for me. Racer 5 was my favorite, and I also loved Hop Rod Rye and Red Rocket.

Anyway, cracked one last night and drinking one now while watching PSG vs Marseilles. Last year I was really enamored with Born Yesterday. This year, the Celebration is tasting way better than BY imo. It's just so damn smooth despite the bitterness.

I also had Born Yesterday and Celebration back to back and much preferred Celebration. Obviously different styles of IPA, but BY was a let down. Tasted like a fresh shelf ipa rather than the explosion of wet hops it used to be.

Secured my 1st 12 pack (of many to come) on Saturday, it’s terrific as always. Still an all-time fave, love the malty/piney/citrus flavors in symphony.

Enjoyed my first Celebration with the game on Saturday. Tasted decent, but I'll reserve my complete thoughts when I can have it on a fresh palate.

I had just come from the CBC Pumpkin Fest, so my palate was a bit shot.
