More Brewing Co. (StB) - (2018)

My bad, I just remember seeing the black and yellow cans

 

I will never understand why a brewery on a release day, or any day they know they're gonna be slammed does not put an extra person on the floor or behind the bar. Are they genuinely short on help or is the owner/brewer/manager too big of a douche to step off their high horse and get their hands dirty?

 

This isn't necessarily only pointed at More but it happens wherever you go. The few times I've been to mOre though it's always the young female with glasses behind the bar who seems to not give a fuck.

 

fwiw - I’ve been there on a couple releases where the owner was behind the counter getting his hands dirty washing glasses, etc.

 

She’s always been super nice and hard working when I’ve been there. Maybe it’s you

 

went into MORE tonight to grab my Karma bottle, the place was absolutely packed for service ~7:00PM.

the fact they have cans and karma bottles at the merch table is huge. in an out within minutes, service was fantastic. would love to see ticketed window releases be the norm. picked up some strong hand as well. as of tonight they arent doing any crowlers.

My brother lives a couple blocks from More, so needless to say he's there a lot. The GM there knows him by name, and they always talk when my brother stops in. The GM will drop him hints every once in a while about future events at More. Saying stuff like "we have something big coming up, so keep your eyes and ears open". Stuff like that.

So my brother goes into More last night and strikes up a conversation with the GM. Next thing he knows, Shaun comes over starts talking with them. The GM introduces my brother to Shaun and says he's a very loyal customer and comes in all the time. The GM breaks away from the conversation and comes back two minutes later with a gift for my brother for being so loyal since day 1.

That gift.....BA Karma.

Happy for him, but jealous AF!!

Man, I was at the Brewtella release and the best I've ever done was a "free" pour when a keg kicked mid-pour. (I keeed! Shaun took care of me with Side Note stuff when my body and life were both destroyed in a near-fatal car wreck a few years ago.)

Since it's a lottery, I really wish they wouldn't force the whole Eventbrite site to purchase bottles just to incur fees.

Unless I'm missing something, once the winners are selected, there's really no reason to use a site like Eventbrite, correct?

 

To make sure people purchase the bottle instead of entering and not showing up.

 

Well, in all likelihood, they're going to use some outside vendor to do online credit card sales (PCI compliance regulations and all that), and that usually costs some kind of fee, either to the business, or passed on to the consumer.
