Really really good. Although I’m pretty sure it’s Nelson driven so I don’t it to be a regular offering.

Speaking of Nelson, Hubbard’s new one hop is Nelson and it’s really good

I've had both of the "hazy" offerings from Trinity.

Hype Forager was the better of the two; some nice citrus notes marred by a bit of peanut butter stickiness. Definitely not really what I'm looking for from an "East Coast Turbid IPA" (their words), but certainly not a drain pour.

Doodle Beer was an absolute drain pour for me; sticky, cloying & bitter. They advertise it as a "Hazy Pale Ale", conveniently skirting the fact that it's a straight up west coast malty bitter bomb that has no relation to the soft, citrus forward delights us addicts are searching for.

Taproom only on HC Nelson. Not sure if it’s still going

I picked up the new Mosaic/simcoe which hopefully will be good. Anyone had Mega Machine from Marz yet? I grabbed that one also from my Binny’s today

Grabbed this yesterday because I think hops such as centennial, columbus, etc. in this style of beer is a nice change of pace from all the tropical, fruity, juicy hops everyone is using. I'm excited to check it out.

Moonfruit by Maplewood totally reminded me of Cosmic Juicebox. The ABV is higher and Mosaic is out while Simcoe is in. But this is the most Roger Maplewood beer I’ve had yet. I grabbed crowlers of Mr Shakey and Drink Dat Mosaic and will report back later this week

I just realized I drink more than a gallon of hazy beer every weekend. I'm kind of stoned but damn, that's a lot of beer.

Mr Shakey was solid but with less pineapple and less shake feel/flavor than expected. Drink Dat Mosaic was merely ok which surprised me since I was expecting Mosaic Monsoon basically.

Damn, never made it to Maplewood this visit, but next time. loved what Roger did at Corridor, but Eric (DryHop/Corridor) seems to be doing really well too. Did stop by Corridor to try the GABF silver medalist, Argent V2 - very solid, a bit of a weird nectarine-perfume aroma/front end, but it's really well made. I think I actually liked the Fragmented Nobility APA just a bit more... still solid hazies there, wish I'd had more time. Cheers, Chicago-heads!

Not to be a nerd, but the Silver medal was for Color of Life, not Argent V1 or 2. I'm personally not the biggest fan of Argent, probably because of the...Norwegian (??) yeast strain?

Glad you liked what you had!

Aw shit. Well, color-me-stupid then. Oh well. They were just out, I think, when I stopped in yesterday (boo) but Argent was interesting. Yeah, that Norwegian kweik yeast was interesting, and I assume the reason it had a weird-ish Chanel#5 Nectarine aroma/palate impression. Interesting stuff for sure. Good times, and good vinyl playing while I was there at least, on an otherwise shitty, rainy day. Still, a fantastic weather to day-drink in/to/etc. Cheers all!

It’s way different that hop butcher beer. It’s closer to Toppling Goliath beer. But the can I tried had absolutely none of the overhopping I find in so many TG beers.

All I’m saying is buy a 4pk and see for yourself. I think most people are going to be surprised
