I thought the same thing at first until I tried a bottle. Just enough to say it has some in it, but not too much where it ruins the beers good flavor.

Tom Tait should be considered persona non grata at all Anaheim breweries.

Come on out to Costa Mesa, it's a growing thriving area that's great for beer. I mean the area that barley forge and gunwhale is in would be perfect. Still in OC so permits would be quick and easy and it's not that far from Anaheim. Plus the amount of warehouse space available for brewing beers is huge.

Does anyone know or tried the beers on tap for Sunday? Was thinking about heading over since space shouldn't be an issue.

#PumpkinJuice - A sparkling take on our seasonal pumpkin ale finished with cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, clove, and ginger.

#TheGrim - A deadly omen of a West Coast IPA finished with Earl Grey tea leaves.

#BertieBottsBreakfast - A fresh porter with a subtle hint of smoke and surprising maple sweetness.

#DraughtOfPeace - A brandy barrel aged picture of a familiar Fall seasonal release, if you will. Guaranteed to calm anxiety and soothe the agitation of missing a year in a vertical line up.

#HogsmeadeHomecoming - A bourbon barrel aged imperial honey stout, brewed with marshmallowy Medowfoam honey and finished with fresh blackberries.

Please, please, please not that block! Parking is already hell there! But yea, that general area would be a great spot for a BL satilete.

You beat me to it. That entire area is WAY too impacted for parking to support BL’s average daily taproom visitors (and people think Armando is bad...).

Parking is only tight because of the camp on the other side. That place has wayyyy to many shops and almost no parking unless you pay. So overflow is on the street which is actually why the street is always packed. Outside of Anaheim there just are many other areas in OC that has good warehouse options and is Brewery friendly.

Aside from Butterbeer and Pumpkin Juice (which are rebrews), these are all new beers making their debut at the event on Sunday.

The event permit we’re pulling prohibits off-premise sales, but I’ll consider fills on Monday based on remaining stock.

The pumpkin beer? Not really a fan of pumpkin, but I may try a taster.

Heres an idea. Brewery X is not going to be a brewery, so Bottle logic should move there. Then have the og room be the sour brewery. Guaranteed, if breweries try to brew sours in the same location as their other beer, they will start to have quality control issues. Its inevitable. All probs solved.

Where’d you hear Brewery X wasn’t happening? I though it wasn’t open due to more Anaheim building permit delays.

I picked up PCC bottles yesterday and wanted to have a beer but it was absolutely jammed in the tasting room so I left. Really unfortunate as one of the reasons I buy bottles is to also enjoy the tasting room.

Midwesterner with minimal knowledge of BL here with a question...was the FOB4 release the biggest BL release to date? Have they done any others with a similarly large maximum allotment plus extensive lead time? (My wife and I turned the FOB4 release into a nice long weekend vacation and would love to do the same with Space Trace if they do a springtime release in 2019.)

Thanks in advance for any 411!

BL doesn't post or announce final bottle numbers, but given the amount of people who were able to buy, how long it took to sell out on EB, and the availability at stores in the area, it does appear to have been the biggest release to date. Additionally, I believe they stated that they wanted to make certain as many people got bottles as possible, so they tried to brew as much as possible this year to make that happen (but no NC unfortunately ).

I'm not certain if other releases would be as large as FO was, given some people don't like strong ales, tequila barrels, coconut, and (name your beer issue/complaint), so its unlikely that every (or most) releases will be FO-sized, but they are continuing to ramp up production and have added several more fermenters over the past year, so (fingers crossed) the production amounts will continue to grow into the future and stasis releases will be larger and more easily available.
