I would be surprised if it doesn't make it into distro....

I thought their previous smore stout, Truth Factory, was unremarkable. It also didn't look like pure hershey's syrup like this one does..

Last opening I thought I stopped in at like 1 and s’mores and peach nawi were sold out.

They have posted in the event page that the fans still will not hit distro

I get what they posted, but a lot of stuff they haven't distroed at their releases finds it way into distro when they can't move it.

As a pastry stout I feel this release is more likely/the most likely to actually meet their totals and perhaps even sell out without the need to send to distribution.

check out recent posts/untappd. looks nothing like the chocolate milk picture they put up a few days ago. someone mentioned it on instagram and they said that was pre-bright tank and the chocolate settled. looks like a straight up stout now.

So it sounds like it isn't unique then which makes it an overpriced alternative to Pipeworks smore stout.

How's it overpriced compared to Pipeworks S'mores Stout? You get two 16oz. cans for $15 which includes tax.

Woah, I’m not an advocate for the brewery man. Just interested to try a local release for an up and coming brewery.

I’m a huge fan of Smore Money, I have a bottle in my fridge right now. Still interested to try this one out though. $15 for a 2-pack expensive? Yeah without question. Overpriced in comparison to a $13 pipeworks bomber? Not really.

Energy City Truth Factory was a swing and a miss. Let's hope they've improved significantly for this batch of smore stouts.

Somehow this thread disappeared from my listing in the GL forum, and wouldn't show up in searches either. Clearly someone is trying to keep me away from all the big stout releases coming up!

To answer some earlier questions, I had BA Krampus last year and enjoyed it a good deal. That being said, I probably won't get a bottle but will try to swing by for a draft pour again. Just too much money tied up in BCBS, Rev Deep Woods, Benthic and probably something else I'm forgetting.

Don't let lack of money deter you; they just print that shit on paper whenever they need it anyway!

Paid Time Off from 3 Sheep's has hit Chicago; an "imperial stout with toasted coconut, cocoa nibs & walnuts".

This is about the mildest imperial stout I've ever had; faint notes of milk chocolate, coconut & fresh earth and a thin mouthfeel relative to the style.

For those wishing for a session imperial stout, your ship has come in...if it doesn't lull you to sleep.

$40 for a 4-pk of 12oz cans of BBA Goldmund (Mexican hot chocolate stout)... And I thought Prairie didn't distribute to Illinois anymore :stuck_out_tongue:

Anyone have experience with regular Goldmund? Not gonna bite on the presale for these unless I get a chance to try it, and then it's still steep for an unproven commodity.

anyone tried the most recent barrel aged Lake Effect stuff?
I picked up the bourbon barrel aged espresso stout after the guy at Binny's recommended it and was pleasantly surprised. Wasn't mind blowing or life changing, but just super solid for a shelfie coffee barrel aged stout.
Curious how the other barrel aged stuff they recently released is if anyone has tried it?

I “doomed” a bottle of their BBA stout this February with a bunch of fresh cookies on a snow day and it was delightful. Very high quality.

Yeah, we (the high beer council) recently determined “doom” is much better than “dome.”
