    To answer number 2: I'll be wearing my Garmin Triathlon Heart-rate strap and using the computed number based on heart rate, weight, age, and weather. I could look at my running data (or anyone else's) for hours, as long as I have a good beer or two. In fact, it's such an interest, I've thought applying for a local coaching position just as a data analysis.

    Thank you! Want to hazard a guess on 1 and 2 for a chance at some local beer? It's all different from the last beer box I sent you.

    You asked how many calories will you consume during the race, not how many you'll expend. I made my guess on how many bananas, fig newtons, power bars, and gatorades you would intake. Did I misunderstand?

    I'm actually glad you all corrected me @TongoRad @beertunes . I did mean to ask how many calories will I ingest (better wording) during my marathon.

    I'll allow each and all to recalculate should they feel the need. Please include your initial response with a quote and your amendment to #2.

    I will stick with my first answer. Although, that does seem like a lot of calories to ingest while running.

    I'm curious, what the issue is with cross-posting from WBAYDN?

    Personally, I like to draw attention to the NBS thread. A lot of users look through WBAYDN, and seems like a good place to grab some extra attention for the NBS thread.

    For the record, AdjunctHippie messaged me a few days ago, asking to get in on the next round. I told him that we were kicking around ideas on how to "enforce" participation, and to check out this thread.

    I also told him to start posting on NBS, as having a history there seems likely to be a main point. I'm also curious as to what our discussion looks like from the outside, and wanted to get the thoughts of someone who is interested in joining.
