I've seen a couple threads asking what it will take to nab a Chocolate Rain B1...but what about B2? What's the trade value? I've thinking about making a trade for one and just curious what is considered an even trade. Will it take a Darklord...Darkness...more?

It will take a Darkness AND Dark Lord, and possibly a bit more, but right about there as CR is about $30 a bottle or so.

It will likely take more than a recent vintage of either of those, but if you have pre 2010 it might get done.

I traded a bottle of Chocolate Rain B2 for a bottle of BA Behemoth during the summer.

DL plus Darkness would probably get it done. It's fair, just people with CR have generally had both of those...

I traded one of mine for '09 and '10 DLs. While I ended up not really liking the DL and wishing I still had my bottle, in my mind it was a fair trade.

And it was actually my second trade ever lol.

    I believe it was $40.

I wouldn't even consider trading mine for both of those beers. You can get either much, much more easily. Then again CR is one of my favorite beers, it would take something pretty significant to get one off of me now.

EDIT: More helpfully, the only one I've traded went for a Czar Jack and some other stuff, but that was with an awesome trader and he could've sent anything back, really. Wouldn't do that trade with a random person.

I would say it's worth about a beer or two.

LP Gueuze should have no problems. LP Other depends on what else you throw in.

I wouldn't trade mine for any of the LPs. Just another opinion

Lou Pepe Geuze + something else small to make up the $10 or so $4$ difference and it should get done. LP-G is the 2nd rarest 'shelf-Cantillon' next to Fou'Foune.

I asked a random BA for a CR trade... He was so cool about it all... said just send whatever Wild Ales and whatever I wanted... Sent some wild ales, Darkness, Ithaca, tons of stuff that made him happy! Nothing was agreed on except the CR that he sent me! I'd like to think that he was as overwhelmed as he said he was when he received my box, as I was as when he said he'd send me a CR without knowing anything about me! He trusted me... and for that, I did my best to impress and go above and beyond what he expected!!! I don't see that on here enough!!! I always try to do that and continue the tradition of those that started this great tradition...
Just like in life... give more than you would ever expect... and expect less than you deserve... and it will shine upon you ten fold... that my friends... is Karma!!!
