If Lagunitas Willetized Coffee Stout is not available in 12 ounce 6-packs this year it will be a pass for me.

    Cheers!

They have already confirmed that on Facebook. :slight_frown:

    Well, that Sucks!

    Pun intended.

Non-cheers to this new format for Willetized Coffee Stout. I kinda have a 'flash back' feeling for when we BAs discussed with Tony Magee a number of years ago our preference to purchase Sucks in 12 ounce 6-packs vs. his preferred format of 32 ounce bottles.

    Same shit but different day!?!

    Cheers!

Maybe that's why they have retired Sucks. Because Lagunitas does suck now.

Gift pack is part of some chain program or something and it will be released shortly as a stand alone bomber. No 6pk this year.

Yep, and those bombers are just going to stand/sit alone. At least Newcastle Brown Ale is in 6pks.

Ya'all complaining about 22oz BAIS + 2 mason glasses for $15, when ya'all will be hunting for 16.7oz BAIS for $15 in less than 30 days.

This was only worth the price when it was in 6pks. No way in hell it's worth $15 for a 22 oz bottle.

What BAIS comes in 16.7 oz format?

But it's not $15. $10-12 a pop. Then you have stores/people who like to price gouge, because it's "limited".

2015 it was 9.99 here, with most stores charging 11.99/12.99
2016 it was 9.99 here, with most stores charging 11.99/12.99
2017 it was 14.99 here across the board.

In fact, just a couple weeks ago, one store had bottles of 2016 and 2017 at 12.99 and 14.99 respectively. Why 2017 costs more, I don't even know. But maybe the distributor in NorCal is gouging San Francisco.

I'll pay $10-$12 for a single bomber to try. If it's good, I'll buy more. $12 is still cheaper than most other BA stouts we can get here.

Would love to try this. Haven't had any of the variations of BA stouts from Lagunitas yet.

Interesting math for a company that was reported in another forum post as laying off employees. Related?

I have never seen their coffee stout in any form on shelves here. Say what you will about CBS, but Founders has stepped up its distribution game in the last two years.

Take note people who take distribution for granted. There’s still pent up demand from people I know for this beer and other favorites (eg I go to Michigan to get Bell’s Black Note since I’ve never seen it on the shelf).

    Now I’m thirsty. Cheers!

I'm guessing a significant portion of the batch went bad and since they have barely been able to get any of either High Westified or Willetized in sixes on the shelves (around here, anyway, big accounts only got a case) they threw up their hands and are putting it out in bombers to cut their losses.

I will have no problem nor any regrets not buying this.

This beer is good, but def. not worth $15 for a 22 oz bottle imo.

Hmm, that's a good guess. And to beef it up they threw in 2 Mason jar glasses. I can dig this theory.

Lagunitas High West-ified >>>>>>>>>>>> Lagunitas Willetized. Sad to hear from this thread that they may never make High West-ified again. It became my favorite beer after having it on tap in 2015. Bottles came out in 2016 and 2017 and it was just as good. I'll really miss this beer :slight_frown:

Found this at Costco. I believe it was only 11.99 or 12.99 (can't remember which), which made it a more reasonable deal in my mind.
