Sounds good to me - pre-aged and only $19 (compared to the $24 to $26 we paid here).

There's some serious chasers here, the solo bottle of CBS I found a few weeks ago was stashed in a fridge in the backend of the store where no customers have access. I'd guess what CBS they put out is gone in an hour, same with KBS and Bcbs , both are sometimes a one bottle limit. I usually don't even bother any more, I'm not driving 60 miles round trip for a $10 beer. At $19 I'd buy a few if you like it, it's $25 here.

I shared my last bottle of 2017 last night and have to say that it was outstanding. Much better than I remembered it fresh.

Happy to hear this, but not surprised. Still have a couple of bottles of the 2017 I'm waiting for the right occasion to open.

When I did the side by side with the 18 mentioned above I also noticed that the 17 had aged nicely. Glad I still have 4 of the 17 left. In my opinion the fresh 17 was better than the fresh 18 is but they were/are both great beers.

I received my shipment of 2018 CBS today. I was strictly told not to sell until Friday, Nov 2nd. The price point for my store is $25.99. It won't last long at the store. I only got 3 cases of 750ml.

Drinking a CBS with less than 6 months age on it is a total waste.

How much did you get last year? I'm just trying to get an idea if production went up or down this year

I will also say that I am the only store in town getting any. Last year was the same.

Do you know why that is or how Founders chooses which accounts to send to? Just curiosity on my end

I believe it is volume of Founder's sales. The allocate based on that. I do know they are one of the breweries that dictate to the distributors who gets what when its a hihghly sought after beer. We are the largest account in my town. It a small town of about 20,000.

That's your opinion, based on your palate and preferences. I enjoyed 2017 CBS both fresh and with 9 months age. There were desirable attributes for my preferences in the beer at both time points. Not a "total waste"

My local supermarket is getting 16 cases tomorrow 29.99 per bottle not bad for midtown

True enough, I forgot the "IMHO". The results of any aging are subjective, but based on other CBS posts, many others agree.

So, getting them today, but are they putting them out today, two days early? If so, the Founders cops will get them!

One place had it available today. $23.99 per. The beer guy at a grocery store near by told me he has it in and will put it out on Friday per direction from the distributor.

I guess the first place didn’t care.

I've tapping a 2017 bottle this weekend, curious about this beer, never had it before. I had one the first year it was bottled and that was my first trade, and it was a nightmare, over 70 trade requests, finally traded it out for a bunch of Pliny and Blind Pigs which at that time were my big wants.
