Beermenus is probably out of date in that regard, if I had to guess.

@Sixpoint Resin is a damn classic DIPA, buuuuut .... it's a classic. Meaning: it's very bitter; it's got a ton of pine and, well, resin; there's a huge malt presentation.

It's not fruity and soft and creamy. But it's a wonderful representation of older style DIPAs, and it holds up today.

Thanks @Dragginballs76. This is a good ESB. Solid head retention, minimal lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of lemon, orange, peach, plum, pear, melon, and red apple; with moderate cracker, toasted bread, light caramel/nutty malts; herbal, floral, grass, light peppery hop; and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness. Medium-high carbonation, light-medium body, and moderately crisp finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malt and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Pretty thin, but not too watery. Light-moderate increasing bitter/carbonated dryness, no hop astringency. Very smooth, 5%. Definitely could use less carbonation, and stronger dark/bready malt character. Well balanced English yeast, malts, and hops. Good style example otherwise. 3.6

Fantastic sour. Solid head retention/spotty lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big sour/tart/tangy blackberry, raspberry, blueberry, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, peach, plum, cherry, pear, melon, red/green apple, currant, red grape/wine, oak, hay, straw, grass, and pepper; with moderate wheat, cracker, bready malts; light leathery/musty funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, and yeast/oak spiciness on the finish. Medium-high carbonation, light-medium body, and moderately crisp finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malts, lactic acid, fruit tang, and oak tannins in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing acidic/tangy/carbonated dryness. No pucker/astringency. Super drinkable, not overly lactic, 6.3%. Amazingly balanced juicy/jammy berries, and Brett/Bacteria complexity; nice oak presence, and pale/wheat malts against acidity. They always impress with the fruit sours. 4.25

Been forever, @thebeers , forgot how good this beer can be. I just can't chase it here at a 1 bottle limit. Too lazy to grab my Bcbs glass, so Kbs will have to do.

Just head to Iowa. You can get some King Sue and enjoy a corn maze or two.

Columbus Brewing Co. - Insane Wanderer IPA Vol. 2 (Mosaic). This is very good, but I must say the Mosaic here is presented much differently than what I am used to. Not the (over)ripe fruit/blueberry that I usually get. Much more assertively grassy and floral. I did just have a Truth IPA which could have jacked up my palate a bit...

Just got home from work and grabbed a 4-pack before I walked out the door.
    Canned 10/24/18.
Better than the last batch methinks.

As I so often do, I have finished my "last" beer a touch early, rendering it my penultimate beer retroactively. So for tonight's actual last beer, I'm going with something more commonly appearing on page 1 of this thread: Founders Breakfast Stout.

With more than a year on it, this is drinking smooth and clean.

Ever since they shifted to a year-round release schedule, I haven't felt the need to pick up an entire case - a mistake on my part, as I don't have any fresh FBS on hand at the moment. I'm going to have to take care of that this weekend.

Cheers and - I mean it this time - good night!

Earlier this evening, decided to attend a beer and cheese pairing with a friend at Whole Foods sponsored by Two Roads Brewing (Hey, it was free = the price is right). Afterwards, moved to the bar for a few taps of Stone- Enjoy By and Singlecut - Softly Spoken Magic Spells ( <== such a tremendous beer).

Great stuff! Aromas and flavors of lightly tart/tangy passion fruit, lemongrass, tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/zest, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate white, cracker, white bready malt; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, grassy, spicy bitterness; and slight fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Medium carbonation, light-medium body, and fairly crisp/clean finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malts and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Slight resins/acidity, light-moderate increasing dryness, no hop astringency. Very flavorful/refreshing 4.6%. Not watery. Feels like Galaxy hops to complement the passion fruit as expected. Very juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hops/fruit; nice pale/wheat malt backbone for the ABV. Minimal residual sweetness.

Great American porter. Aromas and flavors of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, nuttiness, and toasted dark/brown bread; with light notes of raisin, plum, citrus/zest, smoke, char, and herbal/floral/grassy hops. Pretty muted aromas. Very mild herbal, floral, grassy, zesty hop; and roast/char bitterness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation and medium body; with very creamy/silky/bready malts; slight sticky hops and chalky roast in the mouthfeel. Slightly increasing lingering hop/roast dryness. Very drinkable, 6%. Spot on style, not overly roasty or bitter. Very clean and nicely rich malt complexity; mild fruity yeast and balancing citrusy Centennial/Cascade hops.

With our Upper Pass shipment of Waimea Waves, Moove on Up, and more First Drop; they surprised us with a few cases of Cloud Drop yesterday.
    Canned 9/26/18.
I'm diggin' that Waimea Waves a bit more, though.
    Cheers!
