I actually found some in Greenville too.

I may pass on this one. Untappd reviews all say it's super peaty, which isn't really my cuppa tea (although I really liked Scotch Cake).

I tried to grab some from Harvard's in Aiken last night, but they said they sold out in one day :slight_frown:

    Elaborate.
So you’re saying 2018 barrel aged Mexican cake has been released already and no one has said a word but you?

I’m pretty sure that was some sarcasm. I think we all know it hasn’t been released yet. Last year was first weekend in December if I remember right.

The endless posts of people asking when ba cake is going to get released does tend to get old.

"Any announcements will be made on our Facebook page up to a few days before the release. Specific details of the release (tickets, bottle limits, etc.) will be specified at that time."

Whew, now that we all have that information, people can stop asking when BAMC is going to be released.:grin:

They are releasing some vintage BAMC though this week. How does a 2014 and 2015 drink you think? How oxidized might it get? $115 for 4 bottles.

Had a 15 last year around release time and it was drinking fine... to be honest at 115 for 4 bottles I’m surprised Westbrook isn’t using this as more of a cash grab.... 28$ a bottle isn’t so bad.

It’s a really fair price especially when you consider you’re getting a bottle hasn’t been shipped and don’t forget a portion of the profits are being donated.

For those who went to the ”cellar sale” yesterday. How long did it last? Did they run out or anything?

Not sure about yesterday, but I went today and at opening there were maybe a dozen or so folks waiting in line. Very easy in and out - maybe 10 minutes max. I'd imagine if they release something 'rarer' (e.g., Bourbon/Rye, Pappy, Maple/Bourbon) it may get close to selling out - otherwise this just felt like a way for them to clear through some inventory, donate some proceeds to charity, and for us beer nerds to get some solid cellared bottles at a reasonable price. Feels like everybody wins - kudos to Westbrook on this one.

I got there at about 6:30 and they were sold out. Bummed since I made a hour and half trip from Pawleys Island.
Gonna try again Saturday but be there when they open. Curious to see what other bottles they do.

Sorry to hear it, man - that's interesting though. Based on the initial line up of people, I figured it was going to last awhile at least today. Best of luck on Saturday - no clue what they'll release, but hope you can snag some good bottles. Cheers.
