Wut if I were to pair you with beers that could stand the test of time?

Yeah, this batch of Triple was top notch. I heard that this first canned batch of Double didn't fully meet the brewers expectations. Second batch is out now though, so I will do some research.
I had both on tap at the tap room on opening night and thought they were both great.

Since you want some suggestions from meatballs....
I think the mystery beer portion of this BIF is a ton of fun so it would be nice to include in the secret santa. Maybe mystery in categories (e.g high gravity, oddball ingredients)
A firm max of box size/bottle count would help keep things low key.
A theme would be fun, but I haven't thought of a great one yet.

Let me know if you need a baptista, pretty sure I have one.

How did you not see that coming?

    The triple was phenomenal...

It poured a murky orange color with two fingers of antique white head that had decent retention and left thick webbed lacing.

Pine, orange and pineapple showed in the nose. The aroma was nice, but more subdued than I was expecting — at least when cold. Dank weed and alcohol also developed as it warmed.

The huge taste is what wowed me. It was packed full of pineapple, grapefruit and boozy alcohol. Graham cracker malt. Sugary, overripe tropical fruit sweetness layered on top of piney, peppery bitterness. Tons of depth, and far too easy-drinking.

It also had a incredibly full mouthfeel — creamy and well carbonated.

I just wanted more and more of it. Went down way too quick. I wasn’t especially impressed by the look or smell of it at first, but the taste and feel were amazing. The gold standard for anyone who likes ridiculously big IPAs.

I saved a really minuscule amount of that one to put into the mix, but it was easy to pick out when blended together. Massive beers aren’t always that artfully made, but this was distinctly delicious.

I was secretly thinking that the Double being last was unpossible, but I suppose it was possible after all.:slight_smile:

They do go down easy, that's why it is probably for the best they used 12oz cans!

I think they are all close. I am still a big SoS fan even though it is considered by some as "cool"

Also, the box I accidently packed and shipped with ninja methods happens to be in NJ this morning. Sadly, not heading to your doorstep though. Its in its final destination post office, Morristown, NJ. It has some similarities to the @thebeers box, but a Septuple Sunshine will not be possible.

All! Just a reminder to have your answers in for my NYC Marathon LIF go round today/tomorrow. I'll be boarding my flight soon and will not be checking here very frequently. I have logged all the answers so far in my spreadsheet.

    Questions:
    1. What will the elite men's winner run at the NYC marathon?
    2. How many calories will I consume while running the NYC marathon?
    3. How many bathroom breaks will I take while running the NYC marathon?

Bonus: Who can meet for a beer? (doesn't effect your chance of winning)

LIF Box contents: all locals, with an emphasis on hops and sours. Winner will be announced sometime early next week and then the box shipped out of the following week to avoid weekend transit.

Hope everyone has a spectacular weekend. The weather report for NYC looks great so far.

    Cheers.

Just checked, and there's a package out for delivery right now south of me.

Just a lone star, I mean package.

EDIT: another package was delivered to a state named after a PotUS yesterday.
