I agree somewhat but, To be fair they only had so many barrels. I mean look at it like this... At least 3 small batches or 1 nice big batch?

I far prefer 3 different beers, BB1 is good but I'm dying for 2 and I'm curious on 3.

Could that capacity not be in relation to marketing or floor space to age but maybe securing the barrels themselves?

I would put it more towards the securing the barrels. They obviously had the room since they have 2 other beers in barrels right now.

They could be putting out multiple small batches to see what styles are accepted the best before they up the BA beers output.

Or afraid of failure. I'm just wondering how long and how many rat race beers SA is going to put out? And by rat race, I mean having to go race to find the beer. DR 12 followed by Pumpkinator, followed by BB1 and soon to be BB2. Adding in Krunkin and Bodacious by Karbach and soon release of BA Hellfighter. Houston beer scene is exploding.

Aren't those the same thing? You don't put all your eggs in one basket because you're worried about failure, or am I wrong about this one? Also, all those beers were pretty easy to come by. I didn't try BB1, but that's because I really didn't care to.

you don't have rat race for them, if you know shit- anything is obtainable...

    bring it on!

Most where. I also didn't choose to race after BB1.

A little edgy tonight eh. I'm not willing to burn my vacation/sick time to run after beer on a single day. I also prefer to spend my time off with my family not bars drinking beer all night and trying to chase a beer down.

Most where what? I typically just go to my local bottle shop and ask what they're expecting to get in for the week. Keep an open schedule or ask if they can hold a bottle for you. If you go to places like Spec's Midtown, you're either going to be waiting in a long line and/or not get a bottle. It pays to be a good customer.

Had some BB1 tonight at Guru Burger in Sugar Land... it's pretty great in my opinion. They sold out pretty fast... but a lot of people did get to try it.

Most where idk where that came from. Lol. Oh well, I frequent D & Q and Specs Holcombe. Usually go before work and bottle shops on SE side are nonexistent. Bad thing about my schedule is its made in 4 wk blocks and comes out a month in advance. Switching to 7p-7a shift recently doesn't help. It's all good though. If I'm off and I get than cool. If I don't get it, that's ok as well.

Has anyone heard of any places in DFW that are selling bottles for take home?

Also, it's experimenting on new things and seeing how their costumes will be receptive to different ideas. Also they have different types of barrel, different barrels work for different flavor profiles. I know they even have some from Raileans Rum down in Galveston.

I can argue/agree both sides on this one. I wasn't going to chase this one down but then somehow blindly walked into one. I don't understand the reasoning on bar/restaurant only release. I've just been making an effort to get to know my beer guys on a first name basis and got hooked up today when I wasn't even looking.

You can say that about the Texas beer scene in general. I rarely, if ever find myself looking for something that is not a Texas brewery anymore (unless I am beer hunting in LA or IL). If I am at Specs, Merchant, D&Q, Gman, or what ever I am always finding new stuff from Texas breweries, not to mention amazing regular standbys.
